    Does anyone want to take a rough stab at why a BE5 tiptronic would 'clunk' into reverse? It also seems to clunk / shudder when downshifting too. How serviceable are Autos?

    Yep and only on the manual model. The actuator lives in the right side rear 1/4 panel iirc
