    gas?

So youre getting about 5ks to a liter? sounds a bit much, depends on your drive style of course but you may want to get it tuned. Lots of cold starts will use more gas, but otherwise it may be running rich all the time
  2. Be prepared to swear and curse getting em out. Unless you got small jappo hands, it can be a mish. With the right tools, remove as a minimum the air box and the washer bottle. The rest relies on some tight manoevering and lots of bandaids
  3. What you need is an OBD port cable Check out /www.openecu.org or the like Ive got a cable which I dont need anymore, will probably chuck it on trademe or offer it around here first.
  4. Yep, drop me a PM - I could be in aussie then, but sure we could work something out btw - these are the standard 2 pot calipers Im talking about, not 4 spot
  5. If you are in Auckers, Ive got a pair of 294mm discs and calipers you can have for $50 They came of a B4 thats done 50k when I upgraded to Brembos - should bolt straight on maybe?

As in do you mean the alarm goes off? Yes, all that works as normal, it just doesnt chirp when armed or disarmed (sorry if the first post wasnt clear : )

    AVS S5 Help

Hey there - Ive got the S5 and it has lost its chirp when the alarm is turned off or on. Indicators still flash though. Is there a way to easily reset that? Cheers!
  12. You think the fines and prison would also change them, but no........ I would guess the majority would prefer to take the risk of not being caught. Hence people get killed and injured
  13. Personally I would use graphite - Ive only ever used it on ignitions though. Same would apply outside the car?, I would steer clear of silicons etc, they would still collect crap
  14. Try http://www.transitainer.co.nz/ They are into cars and the like Hes my bro in law, I wont guarantee he'll drop prices by name dropping, but he will give you an honest quote!
  15. And they fit in the subbie double din :-) Im never a fan of non branded stuff, but it certainly has all the toys. Buy one. If you dont like it, Ill offer you 4 hundy for it
  16. So its a "C" :-) Mines an 01 and still a C, not sure exactly when they changed. Thats a shame cause the D gets the ECU that can be flashed
  17. Check out the compliance plate in the engine bay (normally pax side) It should say BH5D but could be a BH5C
  18. The controller is not the be all and end all of TT problems, and certainly not in this case.......
  19. Yep, guess Ill source another from BNT (Subaru new price $1000....lol...)
  20. No grease squirting out, but I can hear air from that end so I guess thats the case. Is it serviceable or a new CV joint?
  21. The stuff inside the diff looks and smells fine. The stuff on the outside definitely feels like grease. Leaking bearing seal thats emulsified you think?
  22. I was under the car today and noticed that one front cv joint was a bit oily and there was grease on the diff housing around the bearing. What issue am I looking at here?
  23. Didnt that guy on trademe pretty much sell a kit for $50, which was just the diagram from page one and a few screws to block of some lines? *cough* ripoff
  24. Theres always one wankel that wants to stir up a response :-)
  25. Theres lots of people on the interwebs who swear by lots of mods. Sometimes its hard to prove they are even old enough to drive
