rebuilt forged motor for $3300 anywhere I have asked price varys from 5-8g. This was why I was asking if anyone had used them before or heard bad things of them. Since im going to sink the money into it I want to get good gear but not go overboard and spread the spendings over the car suspension, brakes maybe DCCD already running good fuel system 20g turbo etc just want reliable built motor and some help in wat direction to go.
looking into rebuilding my motor or buying one of these. Was wondering if anyone had bought either one of the two or if anybody could steer me to the better option. They both seem cheeper than rebuilding existing motor.
mega squirt ecu? anyone using one or know if they are any good have m8s with them running other motors but no subarus.

Think this might be what i'm running well looks same. I'm running extractors and a plumbed in gate sounds mint goes hard but does not like my farm driveway lol its pretty fucked! I would say you wont find better for price though mechanic thought mine was worth a shitload more than that before it was sqaushed and split
Aren't these dsr ones spose to be 2nd gen not the shit ones they started with that were only dsr stamped.mines running with extractors nd full 3" stainless. YouTube link please that sounds like a goody.
i am not one to argue but they are a good turbo i dont know wat is out there in the price range but they go good as i said responsive and strong pull on boost in my opinion worth every cent and is a better turbo than standard.
Its a bigger turbo its going to come on boost bit later 1 Bar at 3700. The vf Will loose boost through rev range the dsr Will hold 18Psi right through to redline. Also my dyno is alot smoother than alot I've seen on here just my 2 cents my setup goes great beatn alot of other stis.
iv had car for bout 4 months and im not scared to drive it lol it blew the little pipe that comes off the turbo and seen the end of my 2bar boost gauge tht was fun. not sure how long it was on the car before i owned it
quote myself here should i keep this kit just done some research and from what i gather il still need it with link?
i run a link and a gizmo boost controler.. just looks to me like you need to plumb the boost sol into the top of the gate.. aka the port on the opposite side of the one that goes to the turbo run a line off to the top of the gate that will give you control of the boost.. at the moment you boost sol is just acting as a pass threw and your boost is bleeding out the top of the gate..
there is 3 pipes on the solinoid 1 goes to turbo 1 goes to intake pipe 1 goes to bottom of gate it uses the factory solenoid
dont mind not seeing air/fuel ratio just dont want to sell controller if link isnt going to be able to do same job yes its black face with blue numbers
alright im going to get a link and ditch the controller anyone want one that isnt running an external? but just to clear this up these type d hdi controllers cannot control boost on external wastegates if so should really be posted on there auction etc
