  4. hey guys Ive got a 1996 legacy gt with a problem. Ive done a single turbo conversion and the only thing that needed to be done was the ecu (to get rid of that code 66 that keeps popping its head up ). so a mate of mine gave it a crack . it was a failure and so i tried to put the standard computer back in and now it wont start . just ticks instead of cranking . would anyone be able to take a picture of there ecu and loom (on both sides) so i can match the colors back up? it would be great if anyone can help as i have no car!! the ecu in my car is a 4 plug with the blue sticker labled 7C ???
  5. hey just go to the local exhaust shop an tell them wat u want thats wat i did an only cost 190 fitted. dependes weather you want a chrome 1 for the (wank factor) or nt

  7. got the best head gaskets i could find laminated steel or somthing gen subaru japan just a bitch having to drain the oil again and replace the gaskets lol . was hoping somone wous say its somwhere else oh well
  8. had heads off yesterday and replaced the head gaskets got everything all back in started fine no leaks . went for a drive down the road and had white smoke burning off the exaust pulled up and theres quite alot of oil leaked out. i think its the rocker cover because wat the hell else is there to leak around there any ideas?
  9. +1 i have 3" you dont need adjustable suspension do ya ? got a st siting in my garage they dont fit mine :-[ but will deff fit yours
  10. i did haveto top up the water but i put seal cubes in so i didnt have to haha so itslike the leak just moved somwhere else. really strange
  11. i think it may be broken between a water and oil gallerys not sure untill i get the heads off. id be keen ta know also ! how does your parallel set up go? i was thinking of doing it but went single insted because parts were free. wat turbos do u run?

  13. doesent overheat it did once but i thought it ws just a airlock. were do i get this hg ? wont be taking it to a mechanic there to expencive haha and + i built the engine myself just was hoping ma new je's and rings werent munted but i did a compession test and one cylinder was off a bit . bit it was only out by 3%
  14. 97% sure its ma problem but thought id ask ya guys opinio bubbles in top tank . two weeks later oily water should i be 100% also another question can the broken hg cause a slight mist out the pcv system?

  16. my engine is same ecept for a 3 inch exaust and pistons and no frountmount . i shall keep it safe around 12 for the mean time . 4* 575cc injestors sti matching fuel rail sti fuel regulator sti ra spec c fuel pump does anyone think this is a deal i should go for when its only $450
  17. just thought it may have lead to the turbo busting because when i removed the vf8 there was a decient sized crack in the wastegate haha it was wasting the whole time i had it on there . i thought i could hv either been that or the fact there shit an i had it on full boost so it prob just gave up lol. also just asumed you should have the water hooked up as how can it hurt ? oh also zarnah do you have forgies ? wats your setup and how much boost do you think can be run safely without doing damage or having to replace ecu?
  18. +1 same here dont think its a problem tho . guy at autotech told me some subarus tend to have alot of knock and some have none
  19. i blew my vf8 up a couple of weeks ago i think it was because the water couldnt be returned (overheated) anyway how glad was i that it broke . i have a tdo5h now in my 96 gt legacy wag . wat a difference !! its great i recomend everone with a legacy to do it. only problem is that the water feed and water return are a different size to the smaller versions of turbos used on the legacys. lucky for me tho i went to the local subaru workshop got the right bolts for free and only had to spend 2 bucks on some copper washers . drilled out the doughnut thingys to fit and away i went . great responce tho!! just need a computer now
  20. lmao cnt even say a name d i c k was wat i meant
  21. go to dick smiths or a pc store
  22. you should really torque the bolts up. get an alighnin tool u would be able ta borrow sum from a workshop
  23. this way is alot better than wat i did lol i had alot of swareing going on . wish i new ya could do it this way. when ya put new gudgens in tho put them in the freezer for a day . makes it alot eaiser to get in!
