i was runing a vf8 .got a downpipe made. but i bew the turbo up on sunday (guttd!!) theres a nasty noise from the turbo like the bearings gone. so im looking at replacing both now. i might aswel do the lot now ae? save me from having to do it later haha ive put up on the wanted thread that im looking for a turbo to but dont no weather to go for a tdo4l . anyone know anything about these turbos . is it better than a vf8?

hmm not sure wat to do now . could get expencive having to do injectors?

im an electritian so thats no probs just need the diagrams an im sweet from there lol . where would i find these

so things are different now when i lookd the first time im sure i saw three plugs lol . either im blind or over the last two nites my ecu has sprouted another plug. so it is actually a 4 pin ecu. it has a blue label that says 7c 22611 ab386 a18-000 dc9 (6228) any ideas where to go now?

so your car has run on this fower fc before you did the rebuild. umm when you turn the key on to start does it come up with all the dash lights like engine check ect?

powers not coming out of the ecu? or not out of the coilpacks?

i didnt even change fuel rails just added regulator to other side with a bit of fuel hose . did leak at the start not because of the way i did it ws because ya cnt trust other ppl ta put fuel lines on tight haha . he even didnt put the vac hose on . wata nob . so just make sure your hoses are tight or ul waste a heap of petrol.

silly question but every thing is plugd in ae? no looms mising? was it just a rebuild or have u changed parts from diff models

mine wouldnt fit actually lol . but yes gc8 an gf8 suspension are compatable with each other. weather they have to be from the same year or not im not sure?

wat if the adjustables were quite cheep compaired to other options? because really you can set them to wat you want with the dampners. also asking because i have a set that may fit just sitting in my garage lol

wats wrong with 12psi? i did the forgie rebuild myself je pistons $930 gasket set / threebond / acl race berings $540 ish wrx heavyish clutch $440 how can it end up being $7000 either you want alot of work dun or ur gtin ripped if you put the boost up id parrallel the fuel rails ta try save that 1 cylinder lol

ya can change them yaself . ive been told it involves unbolting engine mounts an raising engine slightly. drain ya oil for a while . unbolt and catch the drips . clean!!!!! . new gaskets on . also been told to put rtv on the groves at the frount of heads and on the back where theres the inserts in the head. dont no weather any1 else agrees on the rtv but i did it to mine.

ok ill find out how many plugs the ecu has. running alot better now ive fixd the intake leak . i removed the pcv valve system so it was leakn strait out the hole

ok so i just got home from a nights driving couple of problem haha got the 66 code but as you said ya do get the hang of it. and the car only runs about 4 psi which is good cz im runing the engine in . and it seams to be runing a bit rough. so im after a wrx computer am i? wat version just any 3 plug ecu correct? also had to fix a dodgy oil return because i forgot to seal it . was lots of fun to get to but i managed to get to it wihout removin turbo yaz!!! but converting it to single was quite cheep i thought $330 for custom downpipe and single turbo exaust and vf8 turbo for free off ma mate (cheers cuillin!!) anyone out there got a ecu for sale?

at the moment i hav piped it up without it . is it possable for me to just t it into the pipe on the outlet of the turbo . or is this the only way you have found it to run?
