y do you need a boost tap on a TT legacy i mean my one is already doing a little over 1 bar on secondary which is pretty much the limit and doesnt have a boost tap
hey i took the old nut off my turbo to an engine re conditioner shop and he just gave me a turbo stud as they had millions of bolts lying around try that
yeah i thought it was fairly common as the side walls of the pistons wear out and the pistons are small (when cold) on start up and expand with heat and no longer make that noise once warmed up. was my under standing of it and in no way does it affect the performance of it haha it still goes very hard was just getting some other opinions
hi all i get a bit of piston slap on cold start up goes away once warm would i be right in saying that thats ok at this stage or should i start looking for a new motor?
well if its still going with the key out id suggest you disconnect the battery so it doesnt kill the battery over night and take it into the auto sparky in the morning and they will fix the problem
at a guess it will be a relay that has blown which is in the fuse box in the engine compartment
im guessing its just the blower that is still going and if that is the case the blower motor relay has died you need to replace the relay to stop it pull the relay out
ok so i have got everything going but now i have a whine from the alternator i believe and goes up and own in pitch and in time with the engines rpm from what i read its cause by having the rca leads and the powere wire being close together but ive wired specifically so this wouldnt happen
any ideas on how to fix this?
hi all a mate of mine has swapped his car and cash for a very good condition legacy but i noticed it only does about 7psi on both primary and secondary turbo and doesnt feel as fast as mine would like to know what could cause this
possible boost leak?
