check if there is a load on one of the wire of the alternator. usually if theres no load into them the switch in the alternator wont work therefore it wont turn on. this happened to one of my old mate with a ver1/2 wrx they trying to converted their dash board to a ver4 but fail and they didnt connect the speedo cluster... battery keeps dieing cause there was no charge from the alternator.
if i remember right the its the smallest wire to the alternator think it was either blue or white. check the voltage from that also
i went from v5ra to a v4r.. i missed the extra doors, the v5 was way faster and cheaper to run ( cause it was tuned)
the v4r was good on gas until i upgraded the engine to a ver8sti... somehow it cost more to run? think my right foot is heavier?
its also my daily driven car... doing average 500km a week... most i ever done was just over 1000 a week
this is interesting... would like to know what cause it? could there be coming from the boot? i had a half filled fuel filter in a cardboard box in the boot of my car and its stunk into the interior... got me worry for awhile cause i just changed it to a aftermarket fuel filter, i was looking around for it.
-check if you can smell anything from the boot?
the ver7+ fuel vapour filter is at the back of the car (black box next to the tank) where the GC8 is just behind the drivers headlight (black canister)
we instaslled a Greddy kit for 1CE and its like 1000 time then any fabricator ( was also by a fabricater/tool maker also...). we still need to cut off the bar to fit... but a full custom ones will cost the same as a Greddy kit but will take longer
is only illegal when u get caught... it can be if its inspected properly but... it is illegal to have a front on a car that has airbag system in it unless the factory comes with it... not much chance you will pass your warrant at VTNZ testing station... so make sure your local garage is ok with it you first... something like a dozen of beer or sexual favor may help?
no.. it might be a special one off one? but there was another guy in CS that had done the same mod... he was the one that told us that the TD04 TS extractors wont fit the VF37... he was right... it was completely different and the pipe was smaller also, compare to the STI extractors
this is a 2004 LGT BP5 5SPD

it really shows how much DSR knows about their turbo... 02+ turbos are twinscrolls not single scroll apart for ver7 sti which is still single turbo
