The diff gears dont give 2 ****s it one alloy bit of swarf goes for a lap . Hold the vacuum cleaner next to it as u tap it . Do it all the time on bikes
bigger tmic is not really achieving anything . unless your stock one is causing a pressure drop ( restriction) due to physical size .
if its bigger it can absorb more heat from the charge air but then it has stored more heat it has to dissipate.
i really doubt a v7sti cooler is physically restrictive so my answer is no
Im gunna open it and make sure nothin is rattly . Lathe the hump off the pistons myself and do head gaskets . Thats it . If im feeling particularly rough in gunna use the big router to mill the piston tops in situ ...
Yea your onto it marky . All that has been pondered . Yea prolly flip manifold . Might go single throttle body . But try keep it so it diesnt effect the iris . Twin low mounts us fibe for a boat or an offriader but it will never package nice enough for me in a car . I cant stand silicon elbows as a solution to a problem that shouldn't exist
Itll fit . Seen plenty of photos .
Odd about the cooling . The water pump is the same fitment as a ej motor so dont know what they fkd up to cause it to cav . Mayby its higher flow so turns to an egg beater at high rpm .
Also lol at the guy in that thread who thought a bigger oil filter would help with oil surg on the track
Ha ha . Doing it wasnt up for discussion . They actually fit not too bad . Rx7 radiator under the rad support . Can get rid of half the length of the crank pulley .
After that I need a 6 speed . Then a car to put it in lol
Got half a mind to get an eg33 and mill the top off the pistons down to 9:1 compression and shove a big twin scroll on it and run upto a bar on 98 . In all the time ive been on here I havent cone across any eg33 builds .
100kw per litre would be satisfactory
I know v3 and 4 sti lifters ect fit . Does anyone know if shim over buckets etc would drop in ?coz id jus go to nick a part and find all the ones I need . Apparently a few people rev stock internaled turbo ones to 8.3k . Given its same engine geometry as ej22 I dont see why not .
Twin tdo4s appeals in theory but fk itd be a mess of an engine bay
Any other discussion welcome
There is no need for a compound setup on a petrol . Ever . You can run 60 psi plus out of a single stage . Diesels however love compound setups . 120 psi out of 3 stages
some photos and carry on as fas ac i can tell the diameter of the 27 vs 14 wheel is within .3 of a mm .
from the ass . but end . 27 wheels in a 27 rear housing and a vf14 rear . but which is which dun dun dun
vf 26 exhaust wheel in a 26 27 and 14 rear housing
and some things i did with a router
Looks the same ... it spins and doesnt scrape when pushed and pulled on . Appears to have the same clearance around it .
If the inducer diameter and the radius on the edge of the blades is the same then it will work wont it ?
I have a 26 wheel and shaft spare . Ill poke it in and post photos
Yea in reality the entire engine has to breath through the puny ill fitting p14 housing except for the 1 %of the time you drive it on both turbos . I figure it will be more econimic and nicer to drive off boost aswell as better on boost .
I rekon even just tapering the inlet of the p14 would have a noticable effect
Really needa compare on a car that is already running vf 26 27 combo .
Quite interested in exhaust back pressure throughout the rev range also . I rekon I could max these grays and green before I got high enough boost for it to be higher than egbp .
Both sides are ball bearing vf27 with p18 rear housings .
And a lot of port matching on the primary side seeing as all the turbo inlets are atleast 10mm smaller than the uppipe
oh come on dummies . its a 3rd position thrust engine . is that not hint enough
also do you think if a crank was grinding on a alloy block it would machine it perfectly smooth ? no it would be all galled up to fk
