  2. hi i keep getting check engine code of 41 does anyone know what this could be i checked the engine codes and it diddnt really help.

  7. cool thanks one more quick question if im using an external wastegate can the top port be blocked off or do i just put in a Tee section from turbo nipple to wastegate and top solenoid nipple??

  9. APET are usually pretty good they used to be on macandrew and now have moved down to the one way will get a contact number for you as the old contact number doesnt exisit anymore.
  10. hi a friend told me to get rid of speed cut u cut the wire going to ECU for vehicle speed sensor?? not sure if this is true or not or would cause any problems.
  11. also i swaped the solenoid brackets over with another known to be good to test. reset the ecu took it for a drive and it stopped boost cutting. so im thinking the boost solenoid on my old one is stuffed so ive got another boost solenoid from a single turbo wrx it has a red sticker and a port at the top and two down the bottom like my previous solenoid that i reused from my BBOD. ive searched the forums for a solenoid plumbing diagram and havent found one with a port on the top?? and would this solenoid work if pumbed correctly. i dont have a wastegate actuator on the turbo. im running a seperate external wastegate with a 14 psi spring. im going to fix any leaks before going for another test.
  12. nick at APET quoted for 2.4k the link is the extreme comes with dyno and tune have told him about the ignitor problem. also said itd take a week. someone also told me hes in guiness book of records for most KW out of a factory ECU?
  13. my old solenoid was making ticcking sounds i changed for a v1/2 solenoid but the solenoid has an extra port on the top is there any other plumbing diagrams on forums i found one but only has the 2 port solenoids???
  14. Has anyone got an idea why this is happening ive tried changing solenoids. it never used to boost cut and now it does............. HELP
  15. still having boosting problems now its worse and im back to boost cutting the spring in the wastegate is a 14psi spring. im going to change the intake pipe when i get one. been having random boost cuts itl cut at 6psi 8psi and 10psi there are no leaks around the wastegate fixed that. still have a high pitched sound when accelerating. and changed the b.o.v and now it goes off very quitely
  16. i dont but the uncle does hes just desperate to get it going he got a quote from APET for 2.4k dyno tune and link.
  17. im thinking of putting in a link g4 of some sort to run this engine any suggestions ?? having to much problem trying to get it going on the v4 75 ECU.
  18. well its defintely leaking air right where intake joins onto turbo theres a small rip i put gasket glue on it to try seal it and it just blew a small hole through it. And i think slightly leaking gases out of the screamer pipe attached to the wastegate checked all the joins for wastegate seems fine. it opens at 7psi yet has 14psi spring or mayb i was told wrong could have smaller spring in it?? it whistles on acceleration at a certain amount of revs around 3-4thous rpms probably will be the intake leak?
  19. re used the ej20r loom and just repinned it from the conversion thread cut and solderded 4 wires .
  20. I used aftermarket stainless extractors, split fuel rail mod with greys....., stainless steel turbo upipe with 38mm wastegate and screamer pipe, purple afm , tdo4L with wastegate actuator welded up, 2S ECU unsure on the bov but it is really big. like coke can size big

  22. quite heavily noticed other day on motorway when slowing down started being weird so i eased off on breaking then reapplied and it stopped playing up.
  23. BG5a is running still having no luck with the other project. has had v3/4 sti engine put in ECU repinned and ignitor wired up. still doesnt start dont hava clue why. Also when engine was bought was told it was rebuilt or made.. by possum bourne motorsport. Using 75 ECU from ver4 . motor came with vf23. was also told it needed a link or something could this be why car hasnt started yet.
  24. hi have noticed sometimes when slowing down quickly the break pedal feels like its poping back or rattling. mate told me that it is normal and its just the ABS. doesnt happen very often.
  25. if i had a leak somewhere would that cause the BOV not to go off. my intake pipe that runs under manifold from podfilter to turbo. the part where the pipe seals onto the turbo has a small split. wastegate on idle doesnt leak badly just feels like hot air emmiting from the pipe. could be a small leak or just heat waves coming off the extractors??. i also noticed that the BOV blows back through the podfilter can hear fluttering sounds. almost like the super sequential sound.
