so i just bought a manual 1.8l impreza manual with the hi and lo lever and the gearbox has a really bad whine in 1st gear sounds like its in reverse really high pitched whine.when car is in lo it doesnt really make much of a noise only in Hi. is the gearbox shagged?

crank shafts are they all the same from 1.5/1.6/2.0 and 2.2 ?non turbo and turbo someone was trying to tell me they used a 1.5l crank in a v3 sti motor

so having clutch problems after putting motor back in cant get the pedal to retract it was workign fine before motor replacment. i slide the thrust bearing on gearbox side and slip motor on and click clutch fork into pressure plate has worked perfect in the past but this time around im having issues mayb need to bleed the slave? any pointers or tips

what are possible casues for 5th gear to crunch when changing into from 4th? doesnt crunch at all when going neutral first is this 1st signs to possible 5th gear lossage?

so i went and seen the subaru wrecker today he was adamant that my ICV top sensor part was knackerd and gave me another one to try and said that sometimes the idle control valve can do werid things and trigger other things so i replaced the ICV and strangely all the symptoms have gone and it idles perfectly for now..

Could idle control trigger the O2 sensor to be thrown
