  1. Hey guy my v4 wrx got rear ended about a month ago... finally got the insurance through and now need to get a quote. Anywhere in particular best to go on the shore if possible. Rear bumper and re-paint. Will prolly pay to get the mid/front of the car redone while im at it due to all the dents and paint lifting off after the tornado in albany a year or so ago. Cheers
  2. I hear buying the whole shaft is a lot easier than just doing the joint.

  5. Need to cv joint done on my 99 impreza wrx sti v5. Have got a great price via repco for the full drive shaft. So inner and outer cv plus shaft. What I am wondering is if anyone have used this part from repco and did it all work fine? Price was 100 inc gst so really cheap if the quality or parts is good.
  6. There is a problem with your pics STiNGR. It appears there is a Ford in them

  10. Hey guys didnt know exactly where to ask this so thought I'd start here and see where it took me. Got some 16inch factory gold rims that came off my 99 GC8 sti wagon. Wondering what they are worth and plus also some toyo proxes with good tread on 2 of them and passable tread on the other 2. got offered $200 and I think that's a little low. Any info would be good cheers.
  11. They are 35% so carfolie told me. They are the top level ones. I think it's so light cos the sun is coming in through the front window. [quote name='QRAF said: and how big is that photos resolution my computers still loading the photos that looks the standard ride height as mines the same :'( Photos were 5mb but I tried to resize them and iforce failed for once. Yes standard ride height. Dunno if I want to lower it at all or not yet. Something to consider in the future.

Hey guys, looking at these http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/subaru/accessories/auction-469829903.htm But I want them with the carbon fibre look not the chrome. Any ideas best place to look for these? its for my v5 1999 subaru impreza wrx sti wagon. Cheers

  20. My new car: Just picked it up yesterday. 1999 Subaru WRX STI. 180,000 kms with a new rebuild with the v7 short block about 27,000kms ago. Apart from that it's in stock standard condition. Runs amazingly and really wrapped with the purchase. Just over $6k for it. Now to start making my way to meets to learn more about subs
  21. Hey guys, i am new to the forums and newish to subaru's. I am having a hard time understanding the v4, v7 etc. Just wondering if there is a site or page that explains it and the differences in the cars? Looking at getting a second Subaru and atm it seems the wrx sti 1998 Type r is what I am looking at. Just want to know the pro's/con's that people know about these. Cheers in advance.
  22. It's interesting cos it's not the same as all other countries because they drive on the other side of the road. Was nice going from NZ to europe and not having to understand other road rules cos the rules were the same just you drove on the other side of the road. I think it's a silly change cos it means that the person in the middle of the road is now the one having to give way... so they are in danger of being hit from the front and rear now and they get stuck in the middle lane longer due to left turning traffic. Ahh well, shall see how it all goes
  23. use http://www.iforce.co.nz/ really easy and fast better than any other imo.
  24. Driver side was all busted up.. Plus they seem to make a lot more noise also. [quote name='dacerx said: you mean the monsoons? heat gun and slowly pull Cheers will try that.
