  1. OK, just had a poke around in the menu, what I can find is: Duty: 3000rpm -> 6000rpm = 70% >6500rpm = 69% Boost: <6000rpm 1.25 >6500rpm 1.3 the other thing I noticed is that the value for the throttle position sensor didn\'t move when I pressed the throttle pedal
  2. its seriously loud though, I had the same ebc in my last v7 that was stolen and that didn\'t make this noise. it also starts before the solenoid kicks into action. How would I check my gain and duty cycle? , its an Apexi AVCS
  3. OK this is a bit of a weird one, I have a pretty much stock (engine wise) V7 sti. relatively regularly I will be cruising along the motorway and I will start to get a strange fluttering sound from the turbo area (sounds like its coming from right in front of the driver) this can vary from quiet to quite loud and goes up and down in rhythm with the boost level turning into a whine at high boost levels, during this I notice no loss of power or performance. The weird thing is it isn\'t constant, some days I can drive around happily with no noise, other days it starts up pretty much as soon as the engine is warm. Initially I was thinking boost solenoid but the ebc screen shows no solenoid duty at the time the noise starts. Boost is built and held pretty much as it should. I had the car in at speedtech for a warrant and during this time they took it for multiple test drives without the noise occurring once, I picked it up this afternoon and the noise started as soon as I hit the motorway, I turned around to head back and the noise stopped shortly before I arrived back at the workshop... Does anyone have any idea what could cause such an intermittent noise?
  4. Potentially in if I fix my funny noise in time
  5. Finally, this is probably where my poor car ended up... Hope they hang the bastards!
  6. so its that time again for a cambelt job on my V7, who would you recommend for the job and what sort of wallet pain am I in for this time? Cheers
  7. Who is the preferred supplier for replacement brake discs at the moment, just had a warrant and apparently all 4 discs + pads will need replacement before the next warrant ( as well as a cam belt job but that is another story ) I\'m in Wellington if that matters Cheers
  8. As a finish to this, very happy with State insurance, just got a phone call that lasted all of 2 mins where the lady basically just asked me what account I would like my full settlement amount deposited into, no haggling or issues, just the full amount I was insured for - the excess.
  9. Yeah definitely don\'t want an Evo 4, just slightly concerned over how hard the 5/6 are
  10. Yeah looking at both an Evo 5 and 6 up in aucks for the same sort of money (Evo 7+ are really ugly though ). I have heard they are much more uncomfortable though as a daily driver (although I am doing most of my commuting now on the motorbike) but I cant find one at a local dealer and I dont know anyone who has an Evo 4/5/6 that I can go for a ride in :-\
  11. Police have officially given up the "search" : . Insurance company will call me on monday to discuss a settlement :-\. Now the question is to Evo or not to Evo ?
  12. yep, it was a supposedly 5 star mongoose alarm, bin net pin, immobilizer , everything
  13. Insurance has quoted me a 7 day period before a payout so hopefully won\'t have to wait a month, its bloody cold on the motorbike at the moment!
  14. I very much doubt i will ever see it again tbh, chances are it is parted out already. The next question is what to replace it with...
