Have you had the forester tuned? Could make a big difference...could also set up a low boost switch so it's not spooling its nuts off every time you touch the loud pedal.

Yep be fine just heaps more swearing doing what you did. (I've done it too with a BH legacy)

Lot of the later subarus take a shorter pump. Same pump just shorter body.

@A_J_T 4 pots are thinner at 24mm max whereas i think the 316mm is 30mm max same as the brembos. More mass = longer to heat up and obviously longer to cool down but hopefully that doesnt happen.

Shouldve bought the correct (shorter) pump...
Got a pic of the other end?

@Kiwi_Fozze has experience

I'll be the grumpy guy.

Just because you are the only one in the car does not mean you only endanger yourself. What about the soccer mum with 4 kids who pulls out when you're ages down the road but doesnt expect you to be doing 2.6 times the limit?

Tuner said he chucked in more boost but it didn’t make a difference, I’m on 17PSi atm which is only 1PSi above factory. I really think I’m limited by my injectors and fuel pump.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkDoes he tune many subarus?

My peak power is 6,300 and peak torque is 4,700. All drops off fast after that.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkRun it to 20-22psi and see what happens.

Mine limits at 6,500 but power is all gone by 6,000 anyway, hardly ever do I take it right up to redline
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkWith that little snail itll be choking like a motherfuvker. Dont expect peak power at 6k.

Yeah it’s the dumb 2.5 haha wish it had the 2.0, seems to be more things available on trademe for the 207 than the 257

Same generic bolt ons.
I'd take the 2.5 over the 2.0.

Yeah you guys all have much more experience than me, I’ve only been in the Subi game for the last like 2.5 years. After I’ve upgraded my fuel system I’ll look at doing a turbo and maybe even a FMIC. Pretty much topping out stock motor by then so might get a motor built or just chip away at building a short block at home to swap my heads onto.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkIt's 2.5 right? Just throw twin scroll set up on it and a gcg turbo. You will have a twin scroll sump on it. With e85 it should be a monster on the street. Probably get away with tmic too.

I just want the NZPC 300kw club sticker hahaha, all the other cars he’s tuned to 300kw have them, I asked about wheel power and he said they only record flywheel power because it’s more accurate. And it must be pretty accurate because he said before he tuned it my car made 220kw, Subaru quotes 225kw stock.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThat's just it. The 220kw figure hes quoting is flywheel he cannot possibly know that. Subaru quote 225kw at fly on an engine dyno. Drivetrain loss is not linear in relation to power. If you were losing 21.3kw to the drivetrain before post tune you will still have 21.3kw drivetrain loss. But in percentages it might be 18.7% pre and 11.5% post tune.

Have to ask why not do the incredibly easy and (better) thing and single turbo convert?

Hrm, if monthly running costs are already currently an issue, then storage and serving (bandwidth) of images is going to be off the hook. Why do you think Photobucket stopped allowing people to remote link images hosted with them without paying. Don't mean to hijack. Just saying.
That's the question Ive always had. I don't know what we need in regard to size or whatnot but others have said we can afford to for paying members.

Sweet have ordered them. Looking at the photo's on the Tomei site it looks like it's a very similar line and NZKW said I can return as long as they're not scratched. Fingers crossed.
Was think i should run the breatherless twin catch can setup, so I don't fill the new inter cooler full of oil. Not sure if this is the right approach and there seems to be a lot of different opinions - venturi system, AOS ($$) and breather catch can setup.
What are people using and what experience have they had, how often do you need to empty the catch cans on average?
If you're racing it @Tony @Munkvy would have the best advice.
