yeah I didn\'t do it lol! yes spoke to them and they said every thing was done right and effectively its not their problem.. they said it could be the fly wheel..
-
I once had my clutch replaced in my td27 turbo navara and I didn\'t get the fly wheel machined they just fitted the new hd exeedy kit and it went absolutely fine so i\'m sure its something related to how they put the clutch on the fly wheel or how it was reassembled as previously stated.
-
are your engine mounts ok?
was the correct clutch installed? was it torqued to spec? are the flywheel/crank bolts torqued? is there a spigot bearing in the flywheel?
i don\'t know how many more things can go wrong.. ?
new pilot shaft bearing was installed by bnt, they just machined it and I gave it to the mechanic disassembled as bnt say they don\'t reassemble them for what ever reason? it was a genuine sti clutch that had been up rated to 3620lbs brought it off B4 2000, the rest I can\'t answer you sorry!

ej20g seem to be 8:1 or 8:5:1
-
I\'m not disputing that your wrong about it being a v5 or what ever just saying from what I know it looked to be a v3/4 set up in a v5 shell.. as for the wiring changing because its nz new well I can\'t answer that :
-
the fact that his car has a 3 plug ecu and that they are yellow tells me that the op\'s car is v3/4 also the fact its a ej20g confirms this as well, i\'m guessing it\'s a very late v4 and its right on the switch over to v5??
-
so that makes it v3/4, so in theory you can get a vf22, orange afm, yellow injectors and a matching sti ecu and you should be fine, and if you get det its easy enough to switch back to factory!!
-
how many plugs at your ecu man? and are they black or yellow? also on the plate on the strut tower does it say ej20g?
-
another thing when the car is idling at the lights you can feel a vibration coming through no i\'m sure its the fly wheel!
-
Had BNT machine the fly wheel so could there be any balancing issues or maybe its warped???
-
so ahh noticed abit of shudder when starting off and also some bad vibration over 4000 kinda sounds like the breaks are sized on abit, I can also smell the clutch too! what could the mechanics of done wrong to make it do this?? :-\
-
will it be alright if I get it on secondary every now and then as long as i\'m not dropping or riding the clutch??
-
get a b4 one.. same code as a v5/6 sti box just a slightly higher ratio I think!
-
haha good on ya fellas!
-
I always knew it would be.. just thought i\'d ask any way!
-
ahh yeah it was the afm after all!
-
on another note I ended up paying some one to do my clutch in the b4
-
Well I have to go and see him on Tuesday so fill try my b4\'s afm
-
any v5/6 pin outs? I\'m buying one of these things!
-
yeah have a iphone and a slr so could try that!
-
actually unplugged the afm and it didn\'t even effect any thing so maybe that is or isn\'t the problem!
-
you have the acc wire, the on / dash light wire, constant power and the starter wire.. so i\'ll check to see if he has constant power?? maybe his alarm is playing up??
-
apparently it now has code 12 showing??
-
can\'t hear it running over the engine bro so can\'t answer that! will get him to squeeze the lines haha
