  1. Well, I should correct myself really, it does depend on what it is and who it is also doing the installation since in some instances aftermarket is better. Although generally I prefer oem after all the nightmares I\'ve read and seen from people using aftermarket and having to redo their work with oem anyway (tstats being a good example)
  2. Looks like it\'s ready for zombies. That\'s what\'s really important
  3. Considering going single turbo based on Ruebens guide, does look pretty awesome and my second turbo is starting to get a bit tired
  4. Yeah I always ask if they\'re using genuine parts, if not I generally walk away
  5. Just did Wof a few weeks ago, they completely missed my leaky buggered front arm bushing >_> RDL picked it up yesterday, big ups to RDL _b As I said, it happens so infrequently I barely noticed it until the other day
  6. Nope no problems at all with 1st or R, 2nd can feel a bit hard but has never really had an issue either. Unfortunately won\'t be able to get clutch done for a wee while yet probably like 3-4 months away. Although since I only really use it in weekends should last until then i\'m hoping. (Live near my work so don\'t drive)
  7. Well bugger, looks like i\'ll be in the market for a new clutch then cheers Why would it be only in 4th that it would behave this way though, seems too inconsistent o-o I\'ve tried recreating the problem is every other gear bar reverse lol and been unable to do so
  8. Yeah hoping he reports his findings, this guy sounds like he\'s really messed you around
  9. So i\'ve had a weird inconsistent issue lately GTB BG manual So sitting in 4th doing 50/60kmph Put foot down a bit and occasionally, not always, rpm\'s will increase but speed won\'t increase for 3-4 seconds and then it picks up It almost seems like clutch is perhaps slipping, but could this be related to boost controller needing a good clean out as not delivering properly? Will be cleaning out the BBoD next weekend anyway Not sure how else to describe it
  10. They don\'t supply perrin crank pulleys it seems
  11. Is there an nz source for the perrin crank pulley?
  12. Send the photo to v promo\'s people and ask them to make you a proper one as endorsement
  13. Lol hoping you degassed it the right way, not the way I did it which was to forget to cover the pipe as I unbolted it and got a face full of yellow dye
  14. Your sig reminds me, really need to go into RDL for service lol I\'ve used the upper engine cleaner on a few things and it works well, sprayed a bit into my mower that chuckled along like death and now it runs like new... so it must do some good
  15. I want to try doing cut and polish but I fear ruining my paint lol
  16. Good to know, what area are you in?
  17. Condenser replacement! Out with the old: I was warned about the gas bursting out, I forgot to cover it and got yellow misted lol Top is the replacement, bottom is the old shagged one: The wicked bend in the old one: Installed and ready to be gassed: Also took the time to get my replacement headlights installed, top old and bottom the newly polished one: The other side was done too but sadly the lamp isn\'t as good so s4s have agreed to swap it, cheers to them! Also: Decided to start doing the repair to my defog conduction strip thingermajigers (official name, check that shit) as the PO had tint on, when it was removed (Not by me) they went brutal and ripped half of the fucking conduction stuff with it so my demist on the back window is pathetically weak and takes 20-30 minutes to actually do anything useful. Masking it up: Close up what the damage looks like, it\'s all over the entire pattern. The conductive stuff you paint on to make it awesome again, get it at jaycar for like 15 bucks:
  18. Condenser replacement! Out with the old: I was warned about the gas bursting out, I forgot to cover it and got yellow misted lol Top is the replacement, bottom is the old shagged one: The wicked bend in the old one; Installed and ready to be gassed:
  19. Fantastic reply, thank you. No leak lol, it must have been warm enough when hit to only warp and not damage it. I\'ll get a photo of it when I change it out :D the a/c works (had expansion valve done recently too) Yeah if I get charged for some o rings, not the end of the world
  20. Posted on LGT as well but thought i\'d ask here too Has anyone here had experience doing this? The PO looks like they\'ve hit a towbar so amongst the bumper being replaced and the two fendors also being replaced the condenser is in a v shape (how it doesn\'t leak is beyond me) I have ordered a spare i\'m picking up on Monday, already have arranged to get system filled and charged. Would I need to move the radiator back to get to the condenser and are there any seals I need to replace on it? Will any damage be done if I run the car (with AC off obviously) to the compressor or any other ac components without filling the condenser? 98 GTB BG5
  21. My cousin has asked kindly if anyone here can suggest a replacement for his dead centre diff on his BH Trans: TY754VBBBA We cannot seem to find any on trademe he\'s located in wellington area Anyone with a spare wrecked sti gearbox with a cdiff that will suit? Any help is highly appreciated
