  3. Knock does sound more like piston slap rather than Beb , as it doesn't seem to be getting louder as the rpm increases , when if it was Beb it Normally gets louder and faster with the revs , personaly i keep clear of twin turbo subbies
  4. direct bolt on yes, however will need to change the two banjos as Vf ones are different to the Td series , might pay to get a walbro if your planing on upping the boost at all? and tune? relly depends how much you have to spend and how much power your after..
  5. Ok so heres the problem, My 1989 subaru justy's indicators are playing up , i have unplugged the hazards for now so they turn off, but before i did this they would always stay indicating to the left even if they were flicked to the off position and when you went to indicate to the right still nothing they just keep flashing left.. anyone had a this happen or anything similar like this? any info would be much appreciated, Connor

  7. just brought a mint 1989 subaru justy 990cc 3 cyl Ectv auto but the box is alittle tired, looking for a manual box and the other bits to convert it, pedal box clutch booster if it has 1? flywheel , anyone got any Justy parts? Cheers Ok well thought i would put up bit of an update , I found a manual box and all the other bits to convert it, and since have done so, Just finished it all this weekend. all was going good untill i noticed abit of smoke coming from engine, , was just some old oil on the exhaust so i gave the motor abit of a clean with the hose, I covered up the dizzy& coils so it didn't get wet, but seems it may have got abit wet as it didn't run the best after, it missed abit, so i left it running for awhile to try dry things out that seemed to work but then 2k down the road it started doing it relly bag and would only stay alive in the higher rev range, 3-4k , will have a good look tomorrow after work , anyone have any ideas what it could be? my guess is points/condenser ? fouled plugs? Cheers
  8. Iv got a setup similar to this>>
  9. are you using 2 left rails with a aftermarket fuel reg bro? you should do bit of a " How to" thread for the Diy'ers out there Just an idea man 8)
  10. How low are they? as i have red struts with super low kings in my gf8 and its pretty low, but i do want it lower and going for adjustables soon, I could put a pic up if you wanted as guide to go off to compare to yours.. ?
  11. if what Nickch said is true , would think because that as a Gf is lighter it wouldn't compress the gd struts as much, and you might find they are alot stiffer than factory Gf struts ??are your springs captive? or do they move at all??
  12. I'm sure there would be plenty of people interested in parts ae , You can usually make good coin parting a car, Just time consuming. I would be keen on bits if you were to part it out

  15. Yah i think thats half the problem with this affect is people see a very poorly done job using this flake and just write it off altogether, When if done right it can look really good in my opinion
  16. this flake looks Crap on light colors, as its quite a heavy/chunky flake , and it will come through the clear if not put on right, best way we have found is to do your base color as per normal 3 coats of black, then mix the hologram flake with a clear base paint, apply as even as possible, Then we put on 3-4 coats of clear letting it tack off between coats to avoid runs. if its just mixed in with the clear you can see/feel the flake out the paint and that just looks s***house. and as you can see by pics the flake is well covered with the clear, And thats without buffing, The way i have decide to go with is painting the bonnet, front guards,Bumper With flake then blending it out just before the front doors as from the front doors back will be pearl black. Oh and we use Ppg
  17. Asian or not i still like it and its alot cheaper than candy's easier to do and has a big visual impression , and yeah I'm an apprentice man, have yu ever seen a rex with it =P Chur bro
