  1. Haha I know right? I spoke to Brian Roberts towing and they've advised that it's $960+gst or something loike that. Which isn't bad for sure!
  2. Got a quote to ship the RA down to SAS. $1583.29 With a car that doesn't run. Yeah, that hurts a little.
  3. Honestly, good question because I don't know haha.
  4. So the RA is booked in to go to Christchurch, and pay a visit to @SAS for the engine build and @gotasuby to tune. Though, does anyone know of a good priced car transport company? Car doesn't exactly run soooo.
  5. That right there is fuarking impressive. Amazing that a fully tunable ecu can make THAT much of a difference in torque Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
  6. Was that with the previous ecu and tune and new tune on the new ecu? Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
  7. Yep it certainly is! I'm tempted to throw it on the legacy for luls but I know that would be maximum dumb for me to do lol. It'll be going on the RA. Since it has the forged closed deck bottom end and Spec C Heads.
  8. It's 'second hand' but it's also still brand new. It's never been used. Was planned for an RB30 build, but it'll go on my Subaru now
  9. Potentially yeah. I don't know if it was on Trademe but it is for sale by Mitchell Lowe. It's a little on the pricey side if I'm honest, but for a drop in solution it will be amazing. Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
  10. Because the turbo was owned by a friend. I'll swap it out from the 1.05 external to 0.93 internally gated housing Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
  11. Now look. I may or may not have done something... Which may or may not be going with a twisted turbo kit that fits this turbo that I'm picking up to test fit this afternoon >.>
  12. As per the above, your shimmy or shake etc is because of the disks. We all agree there. I disagree on getting vented, however, until you make a small but VERY significant change in your braking habit. Late and hard braking are your friend in racing scenarios. Taking it 'easy' on the brakes, aka braking early and lightly is what will root your pads and rotors. I learnt my lesson the hard way when I took a very expensive set of Znoelli S12 rotors on track and cracked them because of this, and ruined a set of pads while I was at it. Now. The knocking. I'm willing to bet it's your transmission mount. Reason being, as your cars weight shifts forward during braking, this unloads the weight of the transmission from weighing down, to neutral to ever so slightly lifting. it'll be rattling on the top (where it keeps the mount captive) because the mount is a bit worn.
  13. As far as calling it a ClubSUB event, it's obviously a no brainer I can bring the banner stickers, small stickers etc. So your committee is all behind it Also, I'm in. If i've got the RA running by then, I'll tow the RA using the legacy
  14. The legacy part isn't quite right. They were yellow side feeds until 2001ish. When the rev D came out, it went to the same injectors as the sti. Pink top feeds. Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
  15. No really. There shouldn't be prices bud. Back at MegaMeet 2017 when PBMS didn't turn up as a sponsor, they said they'd throw us a free dyno day for ClubSub Members as a thank you. Seriously! I think there's even a post somewhere about it on the forums. Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
  16. I think Yellow injectors are only phase 2? As it's a V2 WRX, they wouldn't fit. Could be entirely wrong about yellows only being Phase 2. Wouldn't be the first time. Honestly, your biggest and best bang for buck modification on an early generation WRX etc, is 100% the ECU and tune. You're not really going to get a noticeable bump in power by the other small mods, without introducing a lot of risk to the motor due to trying sketchy stuff to get more power.
  17. Sooooo, does this mean we get our dyno day that we were promised for free last year? Haha Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
  18. Do you guys ever hit that wall with a car and are just like "f*ck this" and just want to send it to a workshop for someone else to figure out and unf*ck? For me, that is my RA. It's quickly become a project I don't want to do, and has landed squarely in the to hard basket. Think I'm going to put more money aside to give it to a proper workshop like@sas@gotasuby because I just cannot be bothered anymore. Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
  19. Yep! Hahaha honestly, there's that thought going through my head which says I've got a Rev D, I have the right sump, and I've got sti headers and a. Vf36 just sitting there. How long will the standy twin turbos last [emoji14] Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
  20. So... One of the big downsides about this car I bought is there are things that are a bit rough.... The Previous owner 'broke off a key' in the ignition barrel...and he naturally broke the ignition barrel so he could drive it *rolls eyes* So, I forgot to take photos of when I started and when I finished, but we all know what they look like already, so no real loss there. Oh.... Would you look at that.... Spot the thing that's missing... This is what happens when you don't pay attention when trying to remove trims, and no it wasn't me. Ignition barrel decision much. *insert craigslist ad* Mint. Hardly even used and like new condition. I'm fairly sure this is meant to be straight >.> The bolts holding in the barrel weren't even snapped off! literally 2 minute job to take em off 'mostly' done. all put back together and sorted afterwards, but it now has a key to turn on! So that's a bonus.
  21. That reminds me. @PBMS You lot promised us a Dyno Day from last years MegaMeet. Ahem.
  22. I could indeed be interested in this as well. You'd likely want a roll-on-roll-off dyno to save time between car changes, but provided the right kit, you can do it fairly quickly even with a hub dyno.
  23. I'm very interested to see what this would change for a car thats knock limited on say 98 but don't want to go to something like e85. @SAS @gotasuby Have you boys had any runs with this stuff in it yet?
  24. Cardwells have a cheap racesuit. I like mine. Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
