  1. Whatever..... I'll remove this thread if it pleases you guys... I did not start this thread to show off. I was merely sharing some Subaru information (which I thought was the reason for having these forums... :-\) If you doubt my car and have around 200kw lets meet at Tokoroa drags in a couple of weeks to prove the dyno sheets. itsgotgo - all of the sheets I got look like this, so sorry don't have any with intake temp... nt_a_foz - You'd think Dyno Power would know where to hook up the intake temp sensor seeing as they actually have a four wheel dyno and have had for years.
  2. That's the reason I started this thread in the first place... I wanted to see if anyone else had managed to get similar figures from a lightly modified STI. :-X Thanks for your valuable comment... :-\
  3. Yeah, Hamish was really excited and couldn't wait to tell me! the_return_of_the_jedi Its a rolling road dyno, so at the wheels mate. Here's a better looking dyno sheet:
  4. I agree mate. And I'm sure yours would be fine (because of the diagonal bar). I have a 6 point, but it doesn't have the diagonal bar, see this thread for some interesting reading... http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,5535.0.html
  5. Have the Apexi in a draw at home, I was interested to see how much power it had stock and one day I will get around to fitting the ECU, bigger injectors and a walbro fuel pump. nt_a_foz Yeah mate, this is from the guys at Dyno Power down Birch Av. Had Hamish from H&N hire the dyno out. Woah, your R only got 165kw... that's quite a difference hey! I'd love to see what my figures would be on the same dyno! :-\ itsgotgo Sounds about right... ??? I think all RA's are good... ;D
  6. Thanks mate. You're right about the standard fuel pressure reg. I bought a Sard reg which I had fitted at the same time. I'm not quite sure what he changed, just the fuel pressure as I understand. All the info I got was through a phone call, so I will update this thread later on once I've collected the car and had a chat with Hamish (owner of H&N Auto).
  7. Ha ha... I get asked this all the time! 8) I bought the car from a 45 year old guy who had basically owned it from new. It still has a 180k speed cut, 440cc injectors, stock fuel pump, no boost controller etc... It had a standard exhaust with cat when I bought it. Its honestly had no work done on it at all which really annoys a mate of mine who has a completely re-built rex (forged pistons, rods, race bearings, big turbo, injectors, FMIC, Fuel pump, fuel reg, link etc etc...) his car runs 17 psi and only makes 216kw (on the same dyno).
  8. True... Any idea of how much variation could occur between dyno's? Roughly 10kw...?
  9. Hey guys, I had my car dyno'd yesterday to pin point an intermittent miss. This is the first sheet when my airflow meter was messing around. I'll attach the others tomorrow to show the sheet with a new AFM. I was pretty impressed with these figures as its a standard Version 3 STI RA and the only performance mods I have are an HKS exhaust, HKS pod filter and HKS blow off valve! This sheet shows around 208kw atw on just over 14 psi! With a bit of messing about with the fuel pressure etc... the mechanic managed to get 214kw. http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/4461/dsc0926522.jpg
  10. Damn...! What more do you expect from a 4 point bolt in cage though...? ??? Read the car specs on this link: http://racersweb.com/forums/ford/1534-mustang-vs-tire-wall-there-can-only-one.html
  11. Cars looking lal good with my old rims on it chap well done Cheers mate, appreciate it. I'm still loving them and glad we traded! Hope there are some good pics of your car for the calendar...?
  12. Ooh someone's in a bad mood... You really need to get yourself a real Subaru so you can go blow some steam off in times like these instead of posting sh*t...!
  13. This link may help, its from a Type RA owners club. http://www.type-ra.co.uk/vB/showthread.php?t=3814
  14. Thanks, I might as well give it a try. Will add some pics one day when I have time to take them off, spray them and get new decals.
  15. What sort of paint did you use as mine are looking a little worn after having them fitted for over a year. Thanks.
  16. SUBARU WRX STi spec C TYPE RA-R http://images.google.co.nz/imgres?imgurl=http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2006/11/sti_speccrar2_02.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/08/rallylicious-subaru-wrx-sti-spec-c-type-ra-r/&usg=__1fLGyWtVWSZdDR4JTHcSgwuhtI4=&h=300&w=450&sz=69&hl=en&start=10&um=1&tbnid=l0w6OPZqS18RQM:&tbnh=85&tbnw=127&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtype%2Bra%2Br%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1T4GGLG_enNZ316NZ316%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1
  17. loren :D I know you want a Cusco cage...!
  18. Hah... If its safe for the Japanese, its safe enough for me... (despite what you all think...!) They did after all make our cars... I'm looking into buying some cross bars (BOLT IN TOO) for the rear X section and from the centre hoop to the front bars (near the dash).
  19. Nice! Any chance of some pictures...?
  20. True... May have a 6 point bolt in cage for sale if anyone is interested...?
  21. Fair enough, but I would never take it around a track as it is "uncerted"... Oh and I'd still rather have it in that not, as Cusco would have tested it during developing it and would not release an un-safe item to the public.
  22. Read the bottom left of page 120 and see the pictures on page 153 of the link below. http://www.performancecar.co.nz/events/super-lap/entry-form/MSNZ_SCHEDULE.A.pdf I have a 6 point Safety 21 / Cusco cage in my car at the moment (uncerted). I like it because I can keep my rear seats in. From the link above it looks like I need a cross bar in the rear to have it certed. This would require me to remove my rear seats and register the vehicle as a 2 seater...! I only have the cage because I got a good deal and I was under the impression that it would be safer having one, than not having one... As long as the padding is sufficient and it is secured properly. 23. Thanks GC8E2DD , nice Type R you have there! Never seen any pics of it before today! What colour mud flaps do you have? Here's a link to a guy in the states that has done this conversion. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1655704&highlight=22b And some more pics I have:
