  1. yea bro - they are heavey tho - once i got these wheels that i have currently the car gained a better 1/4 mile - thanks to the pivot meter and err a private road hehe yea ak photoshoot sounds mean.. PS, what do we all think of a dyno day - there was talk last time to get a ak/ham crown dyno day at GCP - the last one was not as successfull cos the site went down and not all were sure if yes or no and the few who turned up , we decided maybe organise another one.. what do u fallaz think?
  2. with such good photoz, maybe u should do a photo op for me as well hahaha i used to have dtm deamons before and nothing wrong with them
  3. its the bov thats flutters and not the turbo... i think i heard a similar thing in a v3 wagon but wasnt sure if was a turbo surge
  4. the only difference between sedaa and wagon was the factory springs had a slightly higher rating for the added wagon weight on the rear struts... not sure on the values but that was what i found out when was looking for spring for my old wagon fitting wise, they are interchangeable i guess the wagon springs on rear of ssedan will cause the rear to sit higher and on wagons the sedan springs will sag the rear a bit more than front
  5. mean ride bro!!!! let me know if u want a quiter 3 inch muffler - i want a bit more sound on mine so maybeswaps lol
  6. ur one will bolt to the intercooler and only fit one way - i think its same as v7/8 flage.. anyway, makes pretty good sound too... ruben, u got a v3 inverted blow off? any difference in sound?
  7. i hear that for a FMIC u need a cert these days - anyone got info on that
  8. yea bro - the right foot is te king of gas saver -
  9. so true.. i think in the old forum ther was a thread on this and they recomended that the oil pressure was too much causing oil to leak out of seals hmmm question - based on the info above - would that be true for vf22? - does it use a smaller feed than a td04 (not 05) specifically...
  10. using 10w/40 magnatec for ages and never had issues.. yea agree - some cars dont need oil coolers but the bling / stupidity factor is too much to avoid..haha.. just the other dat saw this evo 4 with a cooler and he has never been to the track - just street car and he thought it was pretty mint. tried to tell abt not having too low oil temp and issues with needing oit to be at operating temp for proper protection...lol.. 8)
  11. yea i agree with thunda - oil seals most likely although u couls also check the water in the radiator - if its head gaskit , u will lose water and also can do a test (forgot name right now) that checks for chemicals present in the cooland for combustion material
  12. maybe the boost controller is not set properly - it should not affect the boost reguardless of the temp - meaning should mostly be same value but of course in cold u flowing more air for the given boost - best to wind it down a bit in the cold so that u stay within factory relm
  13. yea me too - only reason to go external wud be the sound... but these days getting a bit risky etc...
  14. this guy can do it for a decent price too for sure!! PS. the v7/8 sti top mounts will easlily from 300kw+ as per some performance cars who have it and the minimum lag would be good.. the only reason i went fm was for the look but wud heavily recomend the top mount.. PS. i have seen it fitted to b4 and looks like its easier to fit to them..

    bov sounds

older pre 99/98 i think TT had 2 blow off - secondary and primary - always replace the secondary to atm if want to on the newer tt they had only 1 blow off so you can change that - either piston or ssq dont matter - ur preference really
  16. the only thing i can say is the 6 speeds have got some serious durability.. i did several (think a dozen although the official story is less than half that number) 8krpm launch in a 210kw@wheel v7 and the box didnt even flich - lol even broke the drive shafts in pieces.. did that to my old rex ages back which was pulling around the same power at that time and the first launch = a trip to the gearbox store.. (have learnt my lesson in not launching in that fashion any more since them early days.. ) in summary - i think whichever one u get should be good although as mentioned above the later ones do have a revised design.. on a related topic - a while back i was discussing rwd with some D1 guys and the GDB D1 car - that ran a v7 6 speed with no issues what so ever!! that should be an indication even the v7 6 speeds are up there.. disclaimer - early morning suger rush causing ramblings ...
  17. yea possibly i guess.. hmm.. better revise the plan then..lol
  18. who knows how much they will be but dont think will be getting any 8.5 inch rims no more.. lol.. wud rather sell the tires... or make do with a bit of roll..haha
  19. yup was thinking of putting them on your rims all right... oh sucks...why did i even buy 255/45/17 tires in the first place...grrr.. the unknown forces of life at play... anyone wana buy a set on 255/45/17 tires - decent tread.. PS. outta curiosity, will the balloned up tires be ok for normal road driving - non performance style of course.. not going in my wrx but on a mazda lol
  20. yea bro..the size recomended is 8-9inch rim for 255/45/17 tire question tho - will it fit on a 7.5 inch rim? what are the implications... lol.. i have heard of stretching the rubber over wider rims but what of wider rubber on thinner rims (the rim on which i want to put it may be 8 but i have a feeling its most likely 7.5)
  21. i think the rims i have are 7.5 inch.. thinking if will fit on that... 255/45/17 are bloody wide for one thing...lol.. on a lowered v7, the 235/40/18 i had once wud rub on the back.. under hard connering or with load on the back i dont think it would happen on a non lowered setup.... ???
  22. dude that is cheap!!! yea a full flush be the way to go!! will def see major improvements for sure
  23. will 255/45/17 fit on a 7.5 inch rim?
  24. does anyone know what the standard wheel size is for the v7 sti is it 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 thanks
