  1. stock v7 sti map limit is 22.49psi from what i have noticed and read around (or was it 23.49 cant remember without my laptop handy but certainly ur should run the 20psi nicely)
  2. reliable 280-300kw with proper tuning as per above just a td06 and exhaust intercooler+ walbro and nice tune = 235kw using stock everything else seriously nice engine to work with! should say with 98 octane pump gas
  3. Nice choice man Tp is the best in the business when it comes to the reflash And yea good call on the 3 port Hopefully it works well for u
  4. one of a kind and quick too !!
  5. only sedans ra or r versions from factory some people put the sedan dccd in their wagons as a modification but thats just same setting as what wud have been in the sedan most likely
  6. i have HKS silent hi-power for sale very nice note and not loud at all and supports over 300kw
  7. The giant topmount fits in place of the v7 cooler as it\'s a replacement for that Very good for heatsoak issues that\'s for sure Anyway as marky said yep it will be cozy fit But if u keen in giving it a shot I wud say only slightly more effort than doing a v7 unit as it has similar mounting points but just a lot thicker and wider
  8. U can reset cu by removing battery for say few hours Depress the break pedal a few times with battery off I have seen reset happen in 1/2 hr as well but always kept out for few hours just to be sure As a start Maybe chck spark plugs and leads just to ensure nothing like that causing issues
  9. Nice work man! Oh and yea better economy on the non knocking map That fmic b4 looks nice and stealth
  10. Haha thanks man Torque performance use ecutek to reflash and that is the Bst there is The open source stuff is not bad don\'t get me wrong It\'s also a great tool The difference is that since u paying a dynotuner to do reflash u might as well ge it done properly If a tuner is using open source u ate better off to save some coin and get a road tune done simply cos unlike say a link Ecu the map on the stock Ecu is not a base map by it is a proper full map tuned to 100 octane if Jdm With a open source reflash u kinda tweak settings to get it optimized to Nz fuel and since u doing that u can also tweak it to get more power and Bette mid range U don\'t need a dyno to do that as the map had all the basic stuff spot on It\'s just the general running that is being tweaked and on the road is more than fine For stuff like a Link a dyno is good cos u working with a basic tune to start with and need the time to repeat things over and over to get things sorted correctly Of course a dyno will be good for reflash but is not fully necessary AnywY if u payin big $ get it done with the proper ecutek stuf as they have dyno related tools and all in place to get good results Paying extra to get open source stuff done on a dyno is a bit overkill but not negative in any way U may end up with the sMe result as a nice road tune only that u paid a lot more but generally the outcome is Abt the same With ecutek it will will be Abt the same As well bu at least u getting a much nicer bit of software setup and also international levels of service and backup That could be worth paying the additional for There are disadvantages to both types of setup of course The Ecutek is not cheap but possibly worth the $ compared to paying for open source tuning on a dyno oh and also changes are not as easy to do as for open source The opensource stuff is only as good as the tuner and u can also end up paying lots just by using Different tuners so best to weigh up options etc Lots other things also between the different options available Just kinda depends what u after
  11. Torque performance do ecutek and that is at the top of the tree for tunes for v7 If u can consider them I wud highly recomend them International backing etc Read on it heaps on google etc
  12. As said above a Vf30 and a tune will be nice Don\'t get too much boost maybe 15psi Get the fuel maps and all sorted and will be a very nice street car And no need for ebc spending if u only running that sorta boost as the stock one is more than able to handle that with ease Plus lots of knock controll options in that setup With a Wrx block I wud say u better take all the knock protection u can get And in this case is free with the stock Ecu boost controller Even if u do td04 tune it should get a bit close to stock Sti power but not exactly there so not too bad in performance but yea there will still be not much in top end when the turbo runs outta puff
  13. Get a fmic man not all that much lag once u tune if correctly and a lot more effective than the tmic Been for a ride in a few with fmic and it\'s not as bad even on stock tune With retune u can take advantage o the lower intake temp and tune it stronger
  14. Best to reset with scan tool bro
  15. From pic it looks like Rev d b4 Bank 1 sensor will be same as the ones used in the v7+Sti ones So the older models ones not going to work There was a post here Abt getting them for much cheaper than subaru prices If u don\'t change the sensor u will only run open loop fueling so use a bit more fuel than what u can with closed loop How sure are u that it is indeed the sensor that\'s plate up Maybe clean the connector plugs and reset Ecu and see Do a running log to see if Ecu does indeed only stay open loop before shelling out for new sensor
  16. I wud try it but not my turbo and don\'t Wana hammer Chinese stuff what If the whole housing smashed away lol bit hardcore but rather not risk it never know their build quality etc Will try post a pic Bit hard from phone as can only FWD emails on it
  17. Flapper welded on each side Pretty much 50% of the flapper disc
  18. yea flapper welded bro not mine - belongs to a mate..wants it fitted by weekend hence getting chopped off is the only option for him dont have a dremel tool bro
