Get them warrants and rego tomorrow!!
I had the same thing happen, mainly cos I have a memory like a sieve and forgot them, got them the next day, took the paperwork into the Police station, fines gone!
Awesome write up Rosssub!
Where would one acquire said genuine backing plates?
Other than a Subaru dealer that is.
Partsouq don't seem to have any, unless my search Fu is weak.
Nope he's not, I wound a car (not a Subie) which was in gear handbrake on over a piece of 4" wood once, trying to undo a seized axle nut.
Even heat didn't crack it, so in the end had to take the whole strut out, and put it in a mill to machine the nut off.
I have a compressor if you want to try the leak test?
I fact I have an old Subaru air suspension compressor in a tool box you can borrow, has the advantage of running off 12v!
If they are the same ones that hold the bottom of the bumper on then I have some (Chinese knockoff ones!) coming, if they are the ones that have a Phillips screw thingy in them, then they aren't the same ones.
The last set of Bridgestones I got was fitted and balanced free, as it always should be if you're buying 4 brand new tyres, plus they cant really change the pricing or they get busted by the commerce commission.
Roger!
So fitting 2 pots to the rear of a BH5, would "technically" require certification if an adaptor is needed... bugger, will have to wait till the budget will stretch to adjustables which need it anyway!
He has an old Frod Courier now, which is getting unreliable!
At least a Leone has more thrash value than the Courier...
Plus you can fix almost anything on a Leone with zip ties and duct-tape.
