  1. My works 2013 Corolla is manual and doesn't have a temp gauge, just a little temperature symbol that flashes blue when you start the car and red when overheating (not that we have got the temperature that high)
  2. Car: 1999 BH5 GTB Tuned: Stock Fuel: Mobil / Gull Force 10 Tank: 50L Fuel economy: 400ish km to the tank with the odd spirited driving
  3. Blacked out my logos today Before: After: Now to wait for the Plastidip to cure for a couple days then time to clean the car
  4. Anyone know the torque specs for the mounting bolts on my BH? Looking at changing all 4 shocks tonight

  6. Anyone know what size vacuum line I need? am wanting to remove the tmic to change my knock sensor but my vacuum lines are quite brittle

Replaced my O2 sensor today, was pretty straight forward however I'm not overly happy with the placement of the plug, now to just replace the knock sensor and the car will be back to the way it was, on a side note, where do I get vacuum lines? What size do I need and how much do I need to redo all the vacuum lines as they're quite brittle

Bought a "new" rear garnish for my BH for $20, it had almost been completely snapped in the half by the previous owner, a little bit of Loctite 401 and an hour sanding it with 800, 1200 and 2000 grit got it all smooth again, then some clear coat and it was back to being all shiny and newish looking
  10. Yea true, i got an email from them stating my order would be processed on the 3rd, heres hoping to getting my sensors next week

  12. Anyone know how long partsouq orders usually take? It does say on the website 3 to 7 days but just wanna see what time frames people have got their items in
  13. Both sensors have been ordered from Partsouq, came to a fairly good price, honestly thought it would cost more, also added a new oil drain plug and gasket on top

  15. Sorry for being naive but would my sensor be the same one as the one you replaced due to our difference in codes? my code was 32
  16. ooohh, so the third sensor is in the headers? that might be the one throwing codes, suppose you dont remember the part number for it?

  20. went to a wrecker and got a second hand knock sensor just as a temporary fix, they were telling me that when i change the knock sensor the others should fall into line and work fine again, does this sound right?

My check engine light in my BH5B has been going on and off for a while and I've finally bit the bullet and got the codes pulled, I got codes 12 (Starter signal), 22 ( Knock sensor) and 32 (oxygen sensor), im guessing to fix the 22 and 32 is just replace the sensors, but where do i go to get replacements and how do i put them in? wanting to do all the work myself as im looking for an apprenticeship. anyone wanna help?

Right, so I'm pretty new to working on cars, so far my experience has been changing my front brake pads on my BH5B Legacy and that was with the guidence of a mechanic, Im wanting to do and Oil and filter change, and when some more money rolls in I would like to do air filter and fuel filter, I've got all the basics for an oil change, a socket set, oil (10w40 recommended by mechanic) and oil filter, just wondering if theres any tips or anything else that may help me in either the oil or fuel filter changes?

Must admit, I did do it quite a lot too, but with my old man being a member of our lovely law enforcement and telling me stories of accidents he had to go to because of cell phone use it turned me off the idea of using it while driving, find it easier to put my phone in the glove box to take away the distraction
