  1. Sounds about right. you could get a nice shell for 2k, an engine, turbo and some suspension for 6k, if your doing a re spray, that would prob cost over 1k and 1k for tuning sounds right. Since this is a daily car its about right, you would spend so much more for a race car build... One thing though is that suspension could get expensive, Good wheels/tyres, suspension cost a lot and there is also sway bars etc which doesn't leave much for a good engine, turbo and other stuff like fuel pumps, ecu, injectors, exhaust, intake, brakes and all that stuff you might wanna upgrade. I really dont know, my guess is 10-15k depending on what you really want.
  2. Okay, that sounds about right. What about 04-06 sti's? Im presuming they would be similar.
  3. Oh I didnt notice that... I would take any manual Subaru over any auto Subaru
  4. yeah, its not that sad... I just took another look at this rev D on that link and its cheaper than the other one which was not rev D and it has less kms and it seems to be in okay condition, why is it so cheap? Would it be a car to consider getting? http://www.trademe.co.nz/1165591466
  5. What sort of 0-100 numbers would you realistically expect to get from an STI putting out 230kw?
  6. Oh yeah thats possible... You mean that bit in the middle of the speedo and rpm is supposed to have P N D 2 1 or whatever? Looks like it aye.
  7. ok, how do I tell if it is a rev D? lol, I probably should know this..
  8. Yeah I would love to know what a Rev D is. What is it?
  9. Sorry for my ignorance but what is a rev D?
  10. Yea. Lowish kms, GTB, 210kw and reasonably cheap.
  11. Any Thoughts? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/auction-1164403496.htm
  12. Saturday up to 3-4pm is okay but any time after is not ideal for me, I prefer Wednesday or friday night but im not the only one so see what everyone else thinks.
  13. Read original post, he says to go to burger wisconson then head to an underground car park in town...
  14. I wont be able to make it to burger wisconson so what time will you likely be at the underground car park? I have a small time window where I can come. I will probably need someone to flick me a text at the time though. I might bring my cousin too.
  15. What car are you getting? Wanna see some pics when you can
  16. That could be a good idea. I might do some research on it. surely there is some laying around somewhere.
  17. Yea I 100% agree with tyres for better handling but I also want a bit more stiffness in the suspension as its a NA subaru it has quite a soft setup and I would like it to give me more confidence in the corners, the sway bar has helped a lot tho. I thought about upgrading the bushes to poly but thats difficult without the tools and a pain to do. Would something like progressive lowering springs be something to consider?
  18. Alright, will probably get new tyres when the old ones wear out, im cheap af.
  19. Today I received the 19mm rear Sway bar which has now replaced the oem 15mm one. This is my first proper performance mod and it works a treat! Very happy, any suggestions on a next, easy and cheap handling mod? Cheers
  20. I replaced my 15mm sway bar for 19mm sti one and it works a treat!!! Its my very first performance enhancing mod and im very very happy . Sorry phone picture...
