  1. Thats like buying a v8 and then asking if you can run it on only 4cylinders cos it has too much power, the normal thing to to would be to buy a non turbo car in the 1st place or sell and buy one
  2. Sanded back, masked and resprayed, the middle parts you can unscrew and take off to respray, so makes it easier probably be easier to plastidip tho
  3. Other option you could do which is much cheaper and looks great i reckon is matt black it i just did mine see the difference below mainly cos someone had painted it white originally and it had a chip I think it looks way nicer as well
  4. That would be awesome if you could mate!
  5. and im guessing they are 120-130kw atw from factory?
  6. anyone know what sort of power gain I will get with just a reflash? have now got a 2006 Legacy 3.0R 6MT, not real keen on touching the exhaust as I like the stock quietness
  7. ok so not stationary for ages the previous owner imported it at 33ks and used it as a daily to work hmm yeah ok well im planning to get a reflash etc otherwise i love the car
  8. ok so on the open road i managed 8l per 100km and round town about 11l per 100km now its doing 16l per 100km round town i only got 150kms on half a tank yes the car was stationary for a night cos i stayed thw night in christchurch in a hotel but now the codes have been cleared it seems to be better, yet to confirm it...
  9. sso i checked both banjo bolts but both didn't have a filter at all also checked both solenoids and they looked fine but as i said the car has only just done 45,000kms and its just had a recent service any other suggestions?
  10. thanks heaps for this so do you think it will be ok now that i have cleared the code with the scanner i have?
  11. also in the above photo are any of the items circled the acvs? just unsure as to where its located
  12. yeah okay thats good to know thanks my scanner is one of these http://actronuscan.com/ from supercheap auto so would the avcs issue explain the fuel economy?
  13. hi guys so the other day i just purchased a 2006 prefacelift 3.0r legacy in 6spd manual from dunedin i drove it home to nelson and within 30mins of nelson the cel light came on but went off again after 10min while i was driving i decided it was fine after getting home and a new tank of fuel i realised the fuel economy was terrible after the cel light issue i got to half a tank and it only had done 150ks so i got my obd scanner and plugged it in and it threw the code P0021 which is "Camshaft Position 'A' Timing Over Advance or Performance Bank 2" i then cleared the codes and the obd scanner says its fine now does anyone have any ideas of what it may have been? the car has just clicked 45,000kms so very low should I take it to nelson subaru to be sure its ok?
  14. I had a set of Zetums on my BP Legacy - and would definitely not recommend them if you are having any thoughts of pushing them even a little hard they under steer like a bulldozer, and in the wet well yeah lets just say, if you had to brake suddenly or swerve then you will probably be on the phone to the insurance company to fix your smashed car but that's just me I always run bridgestones - just cos I know they are excellent - if you want to go cheaper try some Neuton NT5000, they are excellent according to my brother, who had them on his Altezza - and they dont make u have to get a mortgage to get a set
  15. Thanks Yeah well that is my Plan - have decided to grab it!
  16. I have just joined the wagon Mafia! just bought me a 2006 Legacy 3.0R 6spd Manual in White

  20. only thig is that facelifts in manual 3.0l are as rare as hens teeth especially because i dont want a dark coloured car white or silver only haha yes im picky
