  1. i dunno about your car specifically but had something similar in my old toyota hatch.. big difference when driving hard but i ended up taking mine off because the tradeoff for practically was just too much. might just be me but i like my boot space practical (says the guy with a fairly congested boot) edit. had mine on my old car for a while before taking it off and after taking them off, drove for few months without alignment.. the rear tyres had real badly uneven wear due to change in camber just from that. dunno if you need alignment after fitting them too but might be something worth thinking about re. suspension changes -> get alignment.
  2. ahh so many different opinions here haha.guess the problem is you dont find out if the cheap ones are nasty until its too late
  3. thanks mate. not trying to hijack this thread at all but its on the same topic - whats the general opinion on running r888s as dailies ( came with car) , is it dangerous/ risky on wet and offroad situations? my normal driving is mostly highway / city. weekends is rural around gravel/dodgy roads of the waitak ranges , bit of mud / stream crossings here and there. i know i overthink things but thats my daily driver tyre question anyway
  4. oh cool so cheaper tyres liek zetums arent considered reckless/dangerous on these powerful cars? thats kind of a releif, was pretty worried about when the time would come id have to change the toyos mine came with

  14. sorry for bumping this thread but a year on, hows everyones opinion of TP? especially interested in comparison between torque performance, possum bourne and dtech.. and then any others in auckland area (i know dtech aint in auckland but its so highly spoken of around here). my priority order is : good tune, price, local. being in west auckland, TP is very close by so i count that for something too (return trip to dtech is about $150 of petrol + 5 hrs driving) but all the times i drove past i just see hondas, alwyas thought it was just some kind of honda dealership until now.
  15. spent a while washing and drying the car properly, foolishly didnt park back in garage and started waxing outside. early in the process it rained all over the still drying wax and i gaveup the cousin got a new car and wanted to start off with some cheap mods so sorted out his boring looking calipers by painting them red. his car is now 10x faster. took bike tank / fairings off, contemplated grabbing some cans and painting that too then decided ill see how my financial situation is after cert/tune the car /deardiary
