  1. Sweet, bet it'l be way nicer than the standy one. Do you know if the twin turbo y pipes would bolt onto the v7 ic?
  2. I've thought about it for a while and am wanting to know if a v7 sti top mount would fit into a be5 engine bay and bolt up to the piping? I read on here that another clubsubber put one on his bh so sounds possible?
  3. Oh ok so the profec isn't suitable, cheers for the info. Not to sure about the easy part of your post, but i appreciate the advice.
  4. From what i've read in this thread and others, successfully using a ebc on a tt legacy setup requires rpm dependant boost correct? Would any ebc that has rpm dependant boost settings fit the bill? I know people say that the profec spec b 2 and avc-r are the ones to use, but if another controller has that would it work?
  5. As above, am wanting to know if a 3 plug nz new 220kph speedo will work in my 180kph import be? Cheers
  6. I have a 99 rsk with the vf26/27 combo. What I'm wanting to know if mixing the two combos is possible without problems. What I'm wanting to do it keep my vf27 and replace my 26 with a vf31 with an older p16 housing making a Primary PE1016F as in this post http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,4776.30.html. Joker stated that he was having issue and the mismatch as a possible cause so wanted to see if anyone knows.
  7. Yeah i have tried that mod. Got 16psi on both turbos. Ran that way for months. Did feel as though it was picking up faster but not a huge amount of difference. Might have been my imagination but the vod seemed shorter. Hasn't had any adverse effects as far as I'm aware of. Not sure about the freeboosting of the turbo, seemed solid and consistant at 16psi
  8. Lol wouldn't be hacking up the cluster, was actually intending to make myself an adaptor loom between my cars harness and the replacement speedo depending on the availability of the speedo plugs, making it plug and play.
  9. I know the tinted ones have a dimmer on the indicator arm but i wouldn't imagine it would be big dramas to hook that up or disregard it and have a fixed brightness. The different pinouts could be a pain, but im sure it can be done with enough time/research . So as far as the auto to manual side it should work with some playing?
  10. As above, am wanting to know if an auto speedo cluster will work fine in a factory manual B4 tt. Am contemplating tracking down a tinted cluster and have a few available but are all auto. would these still work ok after rewiring to suit the newer speedo?
  11. Fitted a brand new air filter and my new rfrb grill, looks mean
  12. Fitted brand new air filter AND new grill. Looks mean with the rfrb grill
  13. I've also had problems with a chch caryard. It all worked out in the end, but sometimes you just needa let them know your serious. I got blown off 3 or 4 times before I threw the cga with the specific quote at them and then telling them dead serious that it won't end there and then they pulled their heads in and sorted it. I'd let them know just how far your willing to take this and i wouldn't be suprised if the problem is sorted, especially with your connections
  14. I know EJ206's are from the auto be/bh and make somewhat less power than the 208, but is the difference due to the engine or the ecu? I've read this which I found, but doesn't really have a definitive answer. http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,12480.15.html
  15. Hmm. Not very often I see a group of ferraris and lambos going for a race in nz haha
  16. Thats what Im planning to do on my 4pots, just mask carefully and you should be sweet. You could attempt to paint them by hand using the spray paint sprayed onto cardboard or w/e if you want, unsure how well it would work, but worked fine for me for my minor touchups
  17. Have you got the guide you used online anywhere?
  18. +1 for the o2 sensor. I have a be5 and the mrs has a bh5 and to check the codes you need to look under the dash on the drivers side and there should be two sets of plugs disconnected, a green set and a black set. With the car off connect the two green plugs together and then turn your ignition to on but do NOT start the car. The CEL (check engine light) should start blinking. It should do a series of long flashes and then a series of short ones depending on the codes at the time. The long flashes are the x10 ie so 6 flashes would mean 60 and then if there were 6 fast flashes after that it would mean 66. There's plenty of lists on the net of what error codes mean what but for o2 sensor it should be something like code 32 if I'm not mistaken. The o2 sensor went in my b4 and had the symptoms you've said
  19. Faaaarrr out, thats crazy. What pitstop did you visit so I know to avoid haha :
  20. Cheers for the info guys. Decided to pass it up. The lack of info from the id plate put me off a bit and the fact that the seller himself didn't know what it was didn't help haha
  21. Changed the oil and hating on the rain that ruined my freshly washed, polished and paint doctored effort from yesterday
  22. Hey guys, am looking at getting a second hand turbo which I have been told may be a vf22 but the seller is not sure. All the info given was that it says ihi on it and has the numbers 22ao8 on the casing. Any ideas if it is infact a vf22?
