  1. Does any1 know the CC rating of the dish in HF2 STI pistons? Cheers Please don't post if you 'think you know'.........or 'have heard that they are....' I need accurate info.........cheers
  2. yeah I've run this setup before with the pod in the guard. It certainly keeps the engine heat well away from the poddy. Water is ur enemy under the guard but once again there are things that u can do to keep the water out. You will have increased piping length if u put it in the guard but i didn't really notice this affecting performance I've since gone back to a poddy in the engine bay with heatshield and ram air setup thru the driver side spottie.. check it out http://www.dirtyolbc.co.nz/community/topic/658-rangi-ram-air/
  3. ahhh the good ole days of chasing coolant leaks.......gota love that smell ;D
  4. sup bro nice choice of car ;D To be honest unless you've done major engine modifications I would save ur $$. If the exhaust is all you've done it really won't need it. On the other hand.........if the exhaust is just the tail end of a few engine/power mods....then by all means get it tuned ;D
  5. for that budget you'll get 4 Toyo T1r's fitted and balanced....aye Jase .......at least in Welly you will anyway ;D ;D
  6. a bit of heat coming off the new turbo so decided to put the old chimney back on.........a bit of cut'n and trim'n and bobs ur uncle
  7. all in good jest there bro ;D ;D sense of humour required It's ur car....
  8. Here's what u do bro........find the nearest mirror.......look into it............raise ur right hand.......bitchslap yourself damn hard. Repeat the process several times for good measure, this time with the left hand Now alternate right hand left hand ;D ;D Then go outside to your Gen 1 RS....touch it gently on the bonnet and say these words........... "i'm sorry i tried to make you into a facelift" lol.....in saying that............pm bazza I think he had a facelift front on his gen1
  9. can I just have 1 factory fpr (i don't want aftermarket) in the return line on a split rail setup?..........or does each rail need it's own fpr?
  10. ok i guess I could splice in another factory FPR just past where the drivers side rail one originally was? The turbo outlets been rotated to 10 o'clock position that's why the clearance issues
  11. i run a split rail setup with a factory FPR on the end of each of my rails. when bolting down the new turbo, the outlet was so close to the end of the FPR that we couldn't get the silicon hose on.....so the drivers side FPR had to go to give us space! Easy enuff fix.............rail swap and bolt on standard 90 degree end fitting to plug into the fuel line.....done So that leaves 1 FPR on the passenger side rail is this still a split rail setup? Does that 1 FPR on the drivers side still give protection to all the cylinders against leaning out? Ideally, where should that factory FPR be located in a split rail setup?
  12. I ran a V1 and it saved my ass so many times with ample warning. Sure not full proof.......but pretty good protection. Used in tandem with good laser jammer a worthwhile investment if u can afford it. Escort redline is another good one with great sensitivity to K band which is used in cams in vans...........only prob is around the city it does tend to pick up other K band signals.

  15. does anyone know what cc the dishes in these pistons are? V7/8 sti block..........pistons are stamped underneath as HF4 I've already asked the question on the site but he hasn't replied yet......and frankly......based on some of the incorrect info he gave me today I don't have a lot of confidence in his knowledge.........so why not ask the people who really know?.............YOU!!! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=305682427
