Excuse my ignorance but how could a turbo over spooling blow an engine? I was under the impression the turbo would go before any thing else, and there are factory boost cuts in place to stop doing any serious damage.

Tell him to put the factory bov back in, see if that works.

I got rage 2.5 inch down pipes and 2.5 inch y piece going into a 3 inch exhaust, sounds good ;D. If your going to go catless you may as well do it properly and go with after market pipes.

I got a full exhaust system on my gtb a couple of months ago, I too was worried about the primary turbo over spooling and a decreased lifespan with the cats removed. But I can tell you the pros far out weigh the cons. the worst that can happen is you might have to replace your primary turbo a bit sooner. Get er done!!

Could be air bubbles in your heater core

From the sounds of it the previous owner put them on, kind of strange he didnt colour match them lol. My BH has 4 pots been put on them there good! There are special models like s edition for Bh legacy that come out factory with 4 pots

Well when I bought my BH I didnt check it that extensively. But the first thing you could do was check if It had and codes stored, as you have probably read there can be many problems with the twin turbo system. good luck!!

I agree you wont be able to tell unless its in really bad condition. The cambelt would be the least of my worries If I was buying a twin turbo

I use 10-40w castrol magnatec, it works well for older engines

Yep get the water pump replaced while they are replacing cambelt. be a good idea to replace tensioners and idlers too
