its mounted right were all the pipes merge (right next to RF Wheel) to plumb it i would need to run a pipe from the external to the down pipe..with that sayin it would run pretty close to the ground lol..and i gotta angle the s**t outta my car around speed bumps which suck lol..

decided to go td05:) feels alot better up top..sounds pretty mental with the ewg lol but im soon having that removed headers and a tune is up next:)

haha it came with the external but i got a set of semi tuned headers in mind when i install the vf29 this weekend(boss lets me use the hoist lol) im ditching the external for sure

looks like Vf29 is the way to go..im not looking to be the fastest rex around I just don't wanna be the slowest lol. I had some basic mods in mind( car already has e.w.g, 3inch turbo back,aftermarket ecu) but yeah ill try both, the tdo4 feels good down low, just after that bit more.

Ive owned a Legacy for 2 and a half years now(twin turbo) and im making a move to a WRX v3 non sti it currently has a TD04 in it. I have a Vf29 lying around at my workshop v5-v6 STi and a TD05 from a mates old car(good condish) which one would be the better upgrade ? new to the single turbo seen 8)

Ok, ive installed the ecu.. there's actually a difference, the turbos feel way more responsive and picked up the revs quite a bit, You can smell the fuel lol just need to get rid of that dreaded fuel cut :'( lol And the little hand controller is pretty cool(still dont know how to work it lol)

I like my music pretty loud(hence the ringing in my ears every now and then lol) I have 2 15inch Solo Baric kickers powered buy a 1200rms amp.. ;D It all depends on taste really Id recommend a decent 12inch, amp and door speakers and you will be away grinning..

Nope never been on trademe .. i had it parked up blew the head gaskets . I left in August when i came back I replaced the motor..

Just purchased a boxer field ecu..Anyone else have this ecu? What are the gains from factory? I have a 96 legacy gt..it also came with a selector with 4 settings: NOR, Type A , Type B , Type C. is the bc5 struts the same as bg5? i saw a pair with the full strut including springs just bolt on to hub or is this not possible?

Ive seen quite a few sets of bc5 lowering springs cheap, getting them fitted isnt a problem my mates a mechanic, i wanted to know if bc5 gt springs would slot right onto my bg5 gt struts. Probably been asked before just asking before i hit buy now:)

Ive just tidied up all the wiring at the back of the stereo (previous owner just twisted them together lol) once i tidied things up using connectors but i left some wires out as they weren't being used i just tucked them back. Once everything was in place i turned ignition on smoke quickly appeared out the back of the unit i removed everything to notice a wire sparking when coming into contact with the car chassis. The wire is blue with red stripe..

well you cant get a warrant anyway had to slide in a temporary silencer for a day..did not make much of a difference just at idle i guess. might be getting a blitz exhaust though to tuck up under the bumper really want to lower the car

my gt has the standard exhaust with the middle mufflers removed(including cats) with a genome tip sounds a bit different to a deep rumble, sounds like its got semi tuned extractors( high pitch when u rev it) definitely louder then stock ;D

Theres another post about springs but im more focused towards the handling rather then the lowering. Anyone know or have a full set of springs for bg5 wagon my car already sits low but the swaying from corner to corner gets annoying,feels like im gonna tip over :'( what would my best option budget wise but a big difference i also need some clearance for my exhaust my street must of won the award for steepest speed bumps. adjustables or firmer shocks and springs?

Okay just failed my warrant, lol steering rack and c.v boot needed replacing also some play in the wheel bearing, im going to let the mechanic handle the wheel bearing issue but i wanted to cut the cost of the warrant down by replacing the boots(typical me) im sure this is a d.i.y job as its just the boots not replacing the c.v, has anyone done this? ive worked on my car quite a bit now (replacing powersteering belt and air con brakes oil change etc) this would be a good learning step for me. If anyone has done this before could you post some pics up? Cheers ;D

hey guys just removed my head deck and found that i got 2 black wires stuck together im guessing this is the antenna but there is no plug. Im planning to upgrade to an aftermarket item so i still want the radio to work i dont want to cut it just in case this is something essential for the stereo to work..
