  4. There is only about four legacy wagons that fit the discription of the outlaws on that list.might be an interesting exercise to do a check on them. just a thought for the detectives out there.
  5. New thread "what have you done to your dog today"??
  6. Well spotted newsuba. just checked in the impreza bible by brian long and there is a v ltd sti. memory not as good as it used to be.never mind.
  7. The "RA" is a four door sedan that shares the running gear with the "type r"coupe. coupes came in two main configurations.the "type r"sti with dccd etc or the "ltd" editions that are not sti and came with roof scoops etc and are mostly a budget version of the full on "type r'.nearly all "ltd" coupes are blue and carry limited edition badges but they are not sti's.
  8. Reward offered for info on return of stolen tools in todays dominion newspaper.contact Morley investigators. be interesting to see if they get any results.
  9. wrx wagon='FLIK' cause its red like a fire engine as in flik the little fire engine for those old enough to know. type r coupe=CASPER cause its white and almost stealth like.its gone before you hear it . datto 1500 ute=SMURF TRUCK cause its that lovely blue colour.although it is undergoing a restore and will become a gloss black wellside soon.will need a new name. mitsi l200 ute=SOOTY cause it smokes like a dirty old chimney.also may need a name change as a 4g32b engine is in transit.
  10. Thats an awsome result funky. you will be able to short shift a little at around 6000 and most other drivers will have to ring the necks out of there engines to get past you. could be that you get slipstreamed a fair bit...thats if they can latch on to your missile exiting corners. congratulations to all invovled..
  11. ...........while sharing a pair of overalls......
  12. i am in agreement with shale on the use of a driver as a weapon of mass mutilation. much too light to inflict the injuries required.also too valuable to damage. i would follow tiger woods ex missus example and select perhaps my lucky 7 iron. steel shaft and steel head much more efficient at hacking and chopping from my experience. [fyi]my driver is a titleist 905r 7.5 degree ,green envy 65 stiff shaft.i would be reluctent to smash it over some scumbags head.
  13. If you cant undo the sump plug with a 17 mm ring spanner your a wimp and need to go to a gym to harden up. they not that hard to undo, unless done up by a neanderthal bonehead.
  14. WOW look what 55 psi does to your bonnet! plenty of lenght on those i/c pipes, wonder if its got much lag.....
  15. yep in balmy.when i first met rob at his first shop in rangitikei street.he had an old legacy sedan that he had built up.it was in the back of his workshop and he told me about the power output etc.it was black i think.dont know what happened to it.
  16. Rob from 1st automotive had a rwd legacy with around 1000 hp.this was about 7 years ago when i bought my wrx. shame about rob moving on he was a top subaru tech.
  17. Also won't leave much room to fit propane burners to avoid car jackers.
  18. there are many reasons why private medical insurance companies have gained a strong following in nz. preying on peoples fear of becoming sick with an overcrowded public system is probably the main one. subsidies by employers to attract staff with "free"medical cover is another. access to immediate treatment for ellective surgery is enticing. but at the end of the day if you wrap your car around a lamp post you will be taken to a public hospital to be treated. private cover is for ellective use,the companies state in there advertising that if you are in a life threatening condition to attend the nearesr public hospital. thats where the ambulance will take you whether you like it or not.
  19. and what happens if you get really sick!you will be taken to the public hospital to be nursed back to health.bet you wont find a southern cross elective surgeon to operate on you at 2am on saturday night.seems like an unnecessary duplication of scarce resources to..
  20. two thoughts on this thread. if all the money that was paid in premiums on private health insurance was redirected to the public health system there would be no under funding and everyone would get a better resourced deal.what is the point of skimming the cream off the top so you can fatten the corporate fat cats? acc levies on registration is an unfair method of accumulating a slush fund to fund hospital treatment.it paints a diverse range of vehicle users with the same brush.i think a fairer system would be to collect the revenue required from the petrol pumps.that means that the people that do the most mileage and therefore are at the most risk are made to pay their fair share.
  21. does anyone know who manufactures the subaru OEM oil filters? i wouldnt be surprised if they all came out of the same factory with different paint jobs and stickers to suit the buyers.
  22. that first photo with the church in it would look great on a cs calender, imo.
  23. two things i noticed. hand position 10 and 2 oclock for most of lap 9500 revs on down shift early in lap great fun to watch.
