  1. I wasnt in that pic, and Nic hasnt been to my house. What are you talking about? That looks pretty cool big guy I wish i was there
  2. The only way i could ever get it out of my leggy was bleeding it on hill on my old driveway with the nose pointing upwards and occasionally bringing it two 2000rpm-ish to create a bit of turbulance to hopefully push it out. I always found it was really bad when the car was cold. Its a pain in the arse when you go around a gearbox and here it slushing everywhere. Lol
  3. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=120554701784 AWSOME!!!
  4. Im surprise you dont call it "My Ryde...". Brad your weak in the creative front My terrano is called "driftzilla", but this has no relevance to anything at all

    3.0Ltr

Im not sure about top speed, but i know for a fact that the new legacy 30.R (w/ 6 speed) is faster than a new gt-b spec legacy (manual also) to 100km/h. I con'd the guys from wingers to have a sneaky "race". The one thing i didn't like about the new gt b-spec legacy's, is that they feel too mature with the twin scroll turbo. They dont have any bottom end, some mid and some top. The 3.0R had plenty at the bottom, still very lively in the mid, but slightly less right up the top. If i had the choice id pick the 3.0R, its much nicer for cruising and around town, but can still give you fun in the tight twisties with its low end torque. To do the same in the gt-spec b you would have to be thrashing the pants off of it. In saying that, if you had a 3.0R and felt like you dont have enough power in the top, you could always put a turbo on it...

Threads like this are good If you want to get a 3 litre, make sure you get one of the newer generation ones (the EZ30R). Otherwise, they are blissful to drive, they make torque that any 2L could only dream of down low. The only thing i wish they had was variable cam's on the exhaust port as well as the intake. They are slightly lighter than the 2.0L's, i lost 6kg of weight when i converted my old gtb from the twin turbo ej20r to the ez30r. They are slightly longer, as expected, but only by 45mm off memory and 55mm in the top left hand corner on the cam chain cover.
  10. Joker, you are a piece for finding that. If i sing that once im hunting you down and tearing your nipples off... hahaha
  11. I know i slow off the mark for this, but dear god that ratrod is the farking shiz, i so want one!!!
  12. Im guessing you have put the starter motor in and have hooked up the signal wire etc. If its not ticking over make sure you have a decent power supply to it, you havent put any rubber washers or something stupid like that on the power supply etc. If its still just ticking and not turning over i would suggest jumping off another car as its not getting enough power to it. If its turning over but not firing and not going you have another issue.
  13. No offence to you guys in Palmy, Manfield - i quite like it, Palmy... its worse than Hamilton, you dont even have a decent river Hahaha I choose Taupo, its alittle more relaxing there also.
  14. That forester looks real high, did you do a chassis lift one it or something? Hahaha
  15. Hmmm... I think they are ;D Unless someone can prove otherwise ??? :D QIK_KAS is right though, he looked dreamy in his wee blue uniform as he manhandled the drunkard :-* I'd do him. BTW reub's, i have even better footage of brad and jas that im sure they wouldnt want to be leaked... Brad, what are you going to bribe me with to shut up
  16. Pm Tony and ask him, he runs a surf and skate shop in palmy.
  17. Given this thread is heading down the path of talking about geometry. From what i have been told, GDB spec c's have alot more caster than any CG8, Is this somethign that is true with all GDB's, in other words its the chassis. Or is it a geometry setup with spec c's, in which case what is it that they have different in them?
  18. Turtle, that rammstein music video fucking rules!!!
  19. Ok, the WRXLink is the WRX plugin of the Link LEMG3, which is wire in. Here is the manual for it, specifically the one for the version 7-9, which all has avcs heads on them. HERE
  20. Ok, a Link G3 PLUS can run acvs on as many cylinders as you want, and so can the lower spec'd one, but only on 4 cylinders of less as it doesnt have enough inputs i believe. The g1 and g2 wont run the acvs heads. All a link G4 extreme has the same chipset/board as a g3 plus, the only difference is the firmware, and the case. Iv got a G3 plus with g4 firmware loaded onto it, so essentially its a g4 extremmmmmmmmmme in a g3 plus case. That make any sense to anyone?
  21. Technically you dont need to steer that much in a drag race, so what you should do it get rid of the steering wheel, and steering rack. Install a brake biased switch in a handy, easy to get to location, linked to your front left and front right wheels. That way steering can be done via skid steer using brake pedal and biased valve. You will save a good few kgs there...
