What about an Avenir?
Anyone had any experience with these?
Looking at something like this http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/nissan/avenir/auction-385350102.htm
Wow, so many replies.
The wingroads are nice. Im trying to stay away from Subi's atm, dare i say it.
Trying to save money so i can actually afford a decent forester in the near future.
Im probably leaning towards either a wingroad, corolla wagon, accord or a capella wagon.
These seem to be cheap, really good on gas and parts galore.
Any suggestions?
Im looking at getting something reliable, cheap to service and maintain, uses little to no fuel and somewhere around the early 90's. Oh and preferably a wagon. or something with considerable boot room. Going from a Fozz to say a levin would not be a smooth transition for me.
So clubsub/personal army, do your best!
Looking at spending around 3K.

This is an awesome blog posted by an alarm installer based in wellington.
Really sheds light on mongoose alarms and the very broken star system used by the nzsa.
Well worth the read and i recommend for anyone thinking of buying a new alarm.
I can say for sure that i will be paying him a visit next time i am in need of an alarm.
No picture, but i saw a nissan cube, converted to a ute today.
It was parked on rangatikei this arvo.
Quite the car crime if you ask me.
Although i dont know if fits a stock option or not, i dont think so.
But yeah, i can try get a photo sometime.
Will do if need be. Ill do a couple drive bys tomorrow to see if i can get a pic.
Ill also get a pic of a rex in camp, black v5 i think with green rims. Looks quite good.
Thats def not it.
The one in question is a v7. it also doesnt have the Rota rims like the v8 in the pic.
IIRC its just a black v7 with black and fluro green lipped rims.
Nothing like that piece of beauty above
Almost got stuck out of town with non alarm remote.
Used the emergency override, and headed home to get the spare remote, to find that the spare is not synced to my alarm.
And i cant get the remote learning to function properly.
SO stuck with a car and no working alarm remotes. FUN TIMES.
