  1. I'm running a possumlink and it's not showing up any check engine light. The lights all go away as they should normally once key has been turned. Unless there is a different process for getting codes from a possumlink, nothing is coming up
  2. Hi Guys and Gals. Have had my car running for a couple of weeks now but suddenly today it seemed like it dropped a cylinder and then just died, and now it wont start. When I turn key the starter motor turns the engine over and there's no grinding sounds or anything, so battery is fine and starter motor obviously running. Ive checked the fuel feed and the fuel pump is definitely working. The coils and igniter don't feel hot to touch. Luckily I was very close to home and got home before it died, but what else can i check?

  4. im running 225/40/r18s but get a bit of rub whenever i corner at any sort of speed. im actually changing to a different suspension setup but keep in mind if you have a low car dont bother going for bigger tyres

  6. Yeah man, i had to rebuild the seals on 4pots (was a good time to paint them too). Genuine rebuild kits are pretty cheap too if i remember, and its not a hugely complicated process.
  7. Nah man I have recently done this mod too on a 95WRX. I think you need 294mm rotors and you'll have 277mm.
  8. Does Tony at RDL Performance dabble in link tuning? Or would it be best to go to EFI?... Haven't heard good things about Subaru tuning from EFI

  11. Hey guys (and gals). Bought a vf34 off a fellow member but did not come with coolant lines and the lines from my old TD04 wont fit. The lower banjo bolt fits (is a bit shagged) but the upper one that goes to the top tank is too small a thread to even sit in. I'm guessing I can go to Enzed or Hydraulink in Chch and get some lines but I need to know what sizes I will need and if there is a better way to get these? (eg. buying from subaru or something). Cheers

    I'm going through and test fitting my v3 intake mani and having trouble with a couple of things. The throttle cable doesn't seem to even come close to fitting the throttle body from the mount on the manifold, and my power steering is getting in the way of the intake. I have the power steering pump with the round reservoir, but it's not the reservoir getting in the way, its the lines to the rack. Will I need to go to to wreckers and get a throttle cable from a v3? Will I need to get a different P/S Pump?

  15. Would heatwrapping the downpipe help too? Im thinking of doing this, not sure if itd be worth it or not though? Can anyone comment on actual gains from heatwrap?
  16. I'd look at the master cylinder as well as bleeding with person on brake pedal. Rebuild kits are pretty cheap from BNT and it's a pretty simple process.
  17. Hey guys. Got 4 pot brakes rebuilt and ready to go on for conversion but trying to get a master cylinder from an STi as i hear they are bigger and would need one to use the 4pots. Rang up Submarine Spares in chch and they need a part number or bore diameter for a v3/4 STi Brake cylinder. Can anyone help?
  18. 4 pots bolt straight up to front, 2 pot rears need different hubs. you can use v4 sti ra rear hubs if you have a r180 diff (should say on the diff, or alternatively search your transmission code), or you can run v7/8 NON-sti WRX rear hubs for a r160 diff EDIT: both 4 pots and 2 pot rears use different rotors and pads to standar 2pot fronts and single pot rears so you will need to buy ones to suit
  19. Rear strut brace is best upgrade iv made on gf8 so far. Front strut brace also very good, car holds much better in corners and generally stiffens chassis so less road noise etc

    Its a td04 anyway bro, havent got it off yet but it was putting metal filings through my intake so its sitting there waiting for replacement to turn up. It seems like compressor wheel filings
