  1. my seats like that and i\'ve not got even the slightest hint of bro about me - I am however six foot four with extra long legs.....
  2. looks like it was designed to be removable after you leave the track? If it is then it\'s all win cos even with a carbon gtr, a wing like that would look fucking stupid at a mcdonalds drive through.....
  3. I've used my 95 GT wagon for dragging three or four of us and a 14'6 sea nymph with an 85 yammy on the back around for a few years now. Towing a decent weight definitely highlights any issues your car has (e.g stuffed coilpacks) and after three years of towing the back of my wagon creaks and groans even without anything on the towball - it's definitely taking it's toll on the shell. In fairness, I've abused it as a tow car but mechanically it's all been good.... To give you an idea of what you can use them for - I've used it to tow all the following in one go (on the beach before i get flamed again for doing illegal things on a public road ;D) - my sea nymph which is a heavy old lump, with an 8ft fibreglass hulled inflatable and 8hp mariner shoved in the boat, all with four fat adults and a s*** load of gear in the car and it's been fine. But then, you need to drive within your limits and be ridiculously aware of what's going on in front of you, cos hitting the brakes hard with all that on the back definitely makes your arse go on suck..... even on sand lol !!
  4. make your hubs fit the wheels....buy some blank hubs from trailequip or the likes, take them to an engineering shop and get them studded to suit - had to do this on my early 70's sea nymph trailer....
  5. johnny where did you get the heater core from? subaru are well expensive and i'm really struggling to find any after market ones
  6. check out picture 6.... why the f***ck would you put harry potter on the side of your car? and the imprezza ragtop, reminds me of them early early eighties bauer 3 series bimmers which i thought were fugly at the time, but now look quite cool....
  7. that hell whine is usually a power steering reservoir that needs topping up....

  9. cheers, found an awesome link - http://beergarage.com/SubyHeaterCore.aspx bypassing it now, going to get a second hand one recored cos i need the car in the meantime !!
  10. well, it;s been one of those weeks... after ripping my drivers side headlight out (don't ask) and a week of overheating going up ruapehu my wagon now resembles a sauna - stuck my hand up the back of the dash and found coolant leaking. so, it's heater core time. at least i've found the problem. but, bollocks all the same... anyway, i'm, not interested in bypassing it. so i need to pull it out and replace it / get it recored. any genuine tips or help from anyone who's done it? I've done a search but it's not popped up much in the way of advice. Thanks

  18. Far out - how have you all missed CEL ?? ;D ;D ;D ;D
  19. mine uses less as a manula than it did as an auto - combined driving (town/open road) i'm about 9.5 L/100k, long runs i can get it down to about 8 - bg5 leggy. reckon i lightened it by at keast 100kg getting rid of the auto box and plumbing etc my bike uses 5.5L / 100k and goes like fooking stink ;D
  20. tickford did way more than stick a spare spoiler on XR8's - !!! they were / are an arm of aston martin ...... they built a $220,000 stretched lagonda - the maybach of its day http://www.astonmartins.com/v8/tickford_lagonda_limousine.htm and the daddy of all ford capris - taking a 2.8 V6 Capri and turbocharging it - http://www.a400mod.com/What%20is%20a%20Tickford%20Capri.htm. As a reality check, i reckon the modern day equivalant would be Bugatti playing around with a BRZ ;D anyway, it's an XR8 with two spoilers ;D
  21. surely there would be the same 12v 'dim' feed that is connected in the same way as the feed that dims your stereo when you turn the lights on ?? ie lights off is 0v and lights on is 12v ?? reckon ten minutes with a multimeter would solve it ...... or you could just flick your lights off briefly to read it which is what i do - that panel on full brightness at night time would be way too much of a distraction......
  22. i've got a lovely xanador rear muffler, nice sound. not too loud and stainless so looking for something to fit. reckon i might have to get something made
