  1. i machined mine out of bronze and made them a really close fit , got alot less movement than brand new bushes , and a good positive feel. easy to do if you have access to a lathe.
  2. its been on the car since i owned it , about 7 yrs now
  3. yeah , seems a strange place to put a sticker to me though. maybe inside of bonnet , but the boot??
  4. on the inside of my boot lid on the left side standing behind the car looking at it there is an rs racing sticker, does anyone else have this or more importantly does anyone knows its significance? if any. it looks pretty factory and high quality. late 1989 rs legacy
  5. i got them done at john mcmurdo spraypainting in river street, ask for kevin (smurf) he does a good job , tell him i sent ya , he done me a pretty good deal , quoted me $500
  6. its ok , i got yet another cluster (from another clubsubber thanks 'sickmatesick') nd just realised if ya undo the three screws at the back of temp gauge and fuel gauge the face comes of with out the need for breaking or pulling off needles. i knew there had to be an easier way LMAO so i got a face here with unmolested temp and fuel gauges im going to use on my cluster. i guess this is why forums were invented for us to share and learn. i nearly had the ones which i took the needles of calibrated to. man im a knob LOL
  7. so how do you get the speedo gauge out from behind the face when the face wont come of because the needles are over the top?? , did you undo the screws from behind and take the temp and fuel gauge out with the face??
  8. yeah sorry fuel gauge. has anyone done this before?
  9. that would be great i have sent you a pm
  10. where does your temp gauge needle sit at normal operting tempature on your temp gauge on your rs legacy??? just had my cluster apart and now the temp gauge is up the creek , just need to know where normal is to put the needle back on in the right place. also same with the temp gauge, surely if i fill it up and put the needle on in the full position that should work?? cheers
  11. ah huh , so you do , cheers for that!!!! ;D
  12. i have now but even with removing the blue gears the numbers will not turn over individually to set my current milage
  13. so i need to remove the odometer from the cluster first?? i cant get the needles of to remove it!!!
  14. have tried that but the numbers wont roll over
  15. just got a 240 km/h speedo for my 89 rs and want to set the odometer to the same mileage as the current 180 km/h cluster as the 240 k one has about 200 thou more km than the current one, has anyone done this and can share their knowledge?? cheers

  17. backing plate on the oil pumps come loose causeing a drop in oil pressure.
  18. hpc do ceramic coating which does the same thing, i think ya can get differnet colours to. costs alot more but looks gooood.
  19. yes that will work , have done this but still checked the clearance and bearing area of the diff anyway , as i guess you will be useing the bearings with the diff you want with the old races in the box you want to use. doing this may upset the clearances etc always pays to check them if you chnage anything with them. have you got acces to a DTI and bearing blue???
  20. whats the same thing??? i know legacy and early wrx shifters are the same , perhaps i should have said late model wrx shifter. anyone??
  21. dont you have to get a wrx shifter to use the gfb short shift kit??? have asked teh gfb supplier this before and tis what i was told, can anyone confirm??
