    ether the rods need to be changed or the rod pin centre,s in pistons need to change position. Because of the 4ml difference in the stroke. hope this helps.

    : little mesh filter is more than likely the problem then, it must not be getting the attention it needs, or should be throwin away, an only use genuine oil filters. ;D

    that ra has a v3 or later bonnet an wing on it so this is quite an odd ball.

    just sold the impreza an bought a legacy 3.0 ltr again an i aint goin back to a flat 4 again for any reason what so ever man that smooth delivery of torque is so impressive.Has 161 kw i think that techy enough. lol :

    probly nothin they do tend to get oily. As long as it is not blown smoke out da exhaust dont worry about it, jus clean it out wit a rag. :

    try goodyear eagle ds-3s i found them excellent in the wet an reasonably priced, oh an they wear well. They are a little noisey on big chip roads. Had them on a 1996 v3 sti wagon on 17s.

    etf just check for cracks & missin teeth it is no big job. some people make mountins outa mole hills it seems.Ya dont even have to remove the radiator to replace the belt, idlers, tensioner & water pump.

    you can take cam cover segment of passenger side without removing anything else an rotate engine by hand to check condition of belt.

    had a 2002 gt30 averaged 9.5/100kms was better than most 2,0ltr & 2.5ltr legacys. The power was also so much smoother than the 4s.

    DRFVDR you were bloody lucky with that belt an nut not damaging anything, i hope you are going to replace the belt if not already i would as soon as possible good luck.

    replaced cam-belt, tensioner, idlers, water-pump, antifreeze. then oil change & filter, & rotate wheels check an adjust all tire pressures all sweet. sorry on v10 2r impreza.

    the front bumper ruins the whole look of this car, even though its an ra i wouldnt be seen dead in it with that bumper on.

    alloy bottom arms are fitted to reduce unsprung weight. this helps shock do its job better.
