  1. Go to a local panel/paint shop and see if someone wants to do a cash job. To tell you straight, the TT subarus arent easy to get more power out of. you can make little gains, but the more you play with, the more likey you are going to have problems. The Lag (or VOD) is a feature of all TT subarus, you can mask it with the like of a Zerosports Sequential control. Since you have a REV D model, you have the luxury of being able to re-flash your ecu. So make you car breath (CAI/intake piping, Exhaust, maybe a bigger top mount but not really needed) and thats about all you can really do. If you want power, engine swap or buy new car. You could add things like light weight pulleys and Flywheel. I would sugguest giving it a birthday with new fuilds (gearbox, diff, brake etc) Drop the sump and clean it out along with oil pick up. Remove mesh filters out turbo supply pipes. Brake upgrades, Suspension etc is up to you with how much money you want to spend. Single turbo upgrade parts can cost around $1500 mark, but then you would have to install yourself. Its not for inexperinced people . there are threads about it around here.
  2. Whatever State you going to, get it Compliance there. Each state is different in little ways. QLD has Expensive Rego. Im paying about $1000 a year for my car. Did you try Suncorp for Insurance?
  3. The Glue does take a little effort to come free. You will be left with holes that you'll need to fill up. You can get rubber bungs, but TBH the look Rangi as hell and would degrade you car. FMIC waste of time. If you must upgrade, try getting a V7+ STi top mount and fitting that. Not bolt in. but has been done. Plus: Zerosports intake pipe: I/C pipe kit: Get an Exhaust system and Reflash ECU that should be all you need. If you want anymore, either Single turbo it or buy a WRX.
  4. I was told $12K to take and put a V9 STi on the road over here. Stamp duty is a killer, as it is based on Red Book value of your car.
  5. Rev D Blitzen came with 4pots as option
  6. For BE/BH you can get stuff from later model BP/BL
  7. Does your current car have the "Black Face" custer? what year is your car and NZ new custer coming out of?
  8. Toyota have a long wait list now. They have pulled alot of cars from other countries and sending them to US instead. I got told that if we order now, we would only get one at end of year. Funny thing, Of the couple ive seen on road, all been driven by "mid-life crisis" old men.
  9. Some of my Favs: Toyota Mega Crusier Brabus Rocket Brabus CLK DTM Shelby Corba 427 Super Snake Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III MV Agusta Senna Just for the Lulz
  10. Didnt notice anything when I had them in my last STi. In the Superstock, the pressure in the tyres still when up when heated.

    Exhaust

Some do uneven sizes to help with torque. 3" front section - 2.5" rear as hot gases flow quicker.
  12. You could always get the shocks rebuilt, they can adjust the shims for the valving to make it softer....
  13. As with most Japanese Brands after certain models stop being made by car maker they stop making parts for them. Unless its somthing like GT-R's You could try Fortyone.co.nz as Mac can source all sorts of goodies from J-Land.
  14. *NB Its been well noted that the factory headers can handle up to around 400hp before they become a restriction.
  15. BRZ 100kg heavier off the bat.... plus word on the street that aussie wont get the BRZ.
  16. I spent extra money on a Dry cell battery and got 7 years before I sold it with car. Even one year sitting on floor in garage, put it in car and fired first try. 120mins res, 900CCA. Dont go deep cycle if only one battery.
  17. Went to the local Toyota today and saw the FT86. While they only had the top "GT-S" spec and the test drive model was an auto (the man test drive one will be another week or so but I'll be at work again) so didnt bother driving it. The seats are pretty nice recaro wannabe's. But the rest of the interior has the cheap plastic feel of a Kia. the Faux carbon fibre inserts are nice touch....if they were real carbon. you do sit really low inside car. Rear seats are for show only. S6 RX7 have more room. Having a look at the engine, you wont be able to retro fit a single turbo system. The Starter is on drivers side for a start, and very little room to have a twisted intake setup. Other side is filled up with heater/Aircon Pipes. So maybe a turbo in front of engine like the lastest turbo system. The Gearbox looks very much like a normal 4wd WRX box. You can see where the castings for the front axles would have been. The center housing has alot of extra webbing. Wonder if you can use the rear housing to RWD a normal WRX box or do a gear swap. Crystal Pearl (white) looks the best colour. Black and the orange makes it look nasty and cheap. Wheels are ugly and need to offset more to filled the wheel guards. So far a little disappointing
  18. Ever throught about using a small PLC or Micro controller instead?
  19. mines the fastest........................................ on Forza
