  1. looks like your windscreen is tinted in that pic
  2. i doubt it could be the wiring if the plugs already been cut out. do a cel check if you have enough battery power
  3. also take the bottom half of the back seat out and on the drivers side there is a square white plug that often melts, both bc5s i have owned have done it and they had same sypmtoms as your car. If its toasted just cut the plug out and solder those wires up
  4. that would be wicked if i could get a pic gotasuby. will i need to hack my loom up to install them?
  5. Seen a lot of posts lately about doing the bosch coil conversion on early legacy/wrx... does anybody have a pic of this setup? Thanks
  6. i loved push2talk, when it actually worked
  7. I have a bc5 converted to manual by the previous owner. It has 3 large plugs near where the battery normally sits, all plugged in. Pretty sure my old manual RS had 2 plugs there
  8. glad it worked out for ya, i was meaning to ask how much it costed to get your bumper and skirts resprayed and who did you take them to? I want to do the same if the price is right
  9. dual sim phone with vodafone and 2 degrees is the way to go
  10. my old one was always halfway, if you have 2 much trouble with it i have a spare gauge cluster in the garage you can have
  11. Hi I have noticed my car running a bit warmer around town but on the open road the temp is fine. I think my radiator fans are not working does anyone know which fusebox the fuse is located? Car is a bc5 gt I found one under the bonnet that says sub fan and it should have a 20a fuse in it but it has a 40a one. Thanks in advance
  12. oh ok thanks for that info boostin, nice signature by the way
  13. Hello all, car is a 1990 bc5 gt with flipped manifold conversion What temp in deg.C is halfway on the factory water temp gauge? My car sat at 82 dec.C for a month or so after i bought it but the last few times i have driven it it has gone back and forth between 82 and 94 with no leaks, no milky oil or water etc. Just trying to figure out if it is a mechanical issue or an airflow issue before i take it to a radiator shop to get looked at Just wondering what normal operating temp is for you guys/gals, I have seen the track temps thread but wondering if anyone knows what temp halfway is
  14. Hello all I have a metal bg radiator top tank on my bc5 gt and i noticed a bit of rust and a line around the base of the part under where the cap sits. Im not sure if the line is a design of the tank itself or if mine is cracked....there is no coolant loss. Anyone had one of these tanks fail this way? Thanks for any help
  15. Thanks, front bumper and interior are a bit rough but they are on the to do list. Yea I sold my bc5 to get something else and ended up getting another bc5 2 weeks later
  16. sold my 92 rs at start of december and bought this 1990 gt sedan which has had a manual conversion. I have since taken all of the stickers off the car (had a big skull wearing a helmet on the bonnet). I have a list of things to do to it to tidy it up such as either sourcing a new front bumper or getting the existing one painted, bracing the afm, putting in the rsb seats i have in the garage, new sparkplugs and getting a grommet for the firewall hole. Not really a fan of the fmic as it lags a bit and scrapes on driveways
  17. my mate got fined for it about 5 years ago because its more likely to dismember someone if he hit them or something
  18. i got mine for 460 at supercheap auto because i needed it asap but they usually put the price down to 330ish a few times a year when they have sales. It was a folding one but not ideal for my legacy because i had to raise the car a bit for the legs of the crane to clear the front suspension gear
  19. theres a plug under the rear seat for fuel pump that has a tendency to melt, mine did it four years ago
  20. might need to get a plumback bov? i put an hks ssqv on my car a few years ago and it idled poor and revs would die between gears. has something to do with recirculated air and the AFM getting cranky that that air is no longer there. i have a 50/50 plumback one now and its great
  21. ive got a bent sill under the front 1/4 panel on my legacy from using jackstands. Passed a wof but its near the top of my to do list because it's a real pain to jack the car up with it in that condition & also dangerous
  22. Does anyone know if these parts are interchangable? I have been offered some low bg5 springs on trademe for 150 and im very keen if they will actually fit standard 92 rs shocks properly. Thanks for any help EDIT: text from auction... Lowering springs for BG5 Legacy GT Wagon. As new unused Not suitable for Bilstein Shocks
  23. mines single turbo and it does that when its cold sometimes. bloody annoying when you want to coast around a corner or something and it starts jerking around when you use the accelerator again
  24. Yea thought so. Im a vinyl layer so can't be too different in theory. Might have a crack at it tomorrow just 4 fun
