  7. Hey team, the weather is looking really crappy this weekend in Kapiti, and there is no shelter in QE park, anyone have a better location? or shall we postpone/cancel?
  8. the details of the deal are something I'm not willing to share publicly, but I will say the team at PBMS have stepped up and offered some substantial financial assistance to the club, which is very much appreciated, and we look forward to working with the PBMS team heading into the future.
  9. Lock it on then! this weekend people.
  10. Hi team, I have talked to the powers that be, and have managed to wangle some dosh from the club coffers for a bit of a xmas do. Through experience we have found pizza usually draws a crowd and feeds the masses best. So I propose Sunday the 11th, Queen Elizabeth park, Peakakariki, 2pm Ill bring the pizza. What do you all think? If you are not keen, suggest an alternative plan. If you are all keen on this, I will invite the Manawatu people as well.

  13. We kind of have some decent sized news regarding the ClubSUB calendar. We new have a sponsor! the team at @PBMS have come on board to sponsor the project! They want to give back to the Subaru community and see this as a perfect way of doing it. So our design team are back on the task, slightly re-jigging the layout, and adding in a special image entry. All current orders will be honored so dont fret! Any questions feel free to PM me directly. Like this post to help us say cheers to PBMS

  16. Hi there, What engine is it in?
  17. Times have changed indeed, this is why I do my own stunts.
  18. Don't you wish sometimes you could just go back knowing what you know now? ive had a few cars with what would turn out now to be reasonably easy issues to fix.
  19. I agree, if you are qualified then you should be paid more for that experience, however in my opionion, $90ph is almost twice what I would call acceptable.
  20. True, however what I'm getting at is the 4-5 non turbo Subaru wagons I had before my gtb don't count?
  21. I learnt to drive in a '92 Bluebird... it was a SSS model. By first performance car, im assuming you mean first Turbo car? if so mine was a '96 GTB Legacy.
  22. Minimal change in layout/appearance for all quad cam EJ engines, however when talking about a SOH Cam engine then there is substantial differences in appearance.
  23. but seriously, when I was a young feller, i couldnt justify paying $60 per hour, thats what drove me to learn to do this sort of work my self. Its not a hard job, but its something you dont want to get wrong. find somewhere with a lower hourly rate, but use the genuine parts from a Subaru dealer.
  24. Labour cost $95 per hour?!?!! Screw that for a joke! Parts all seem fair prices. buy them and spend the rest of a trip to Wellington and ill do it for you - still cheaper.
