  1. I am currently running oil feed and return hoses to my new turbo and noticed the turbo isnt water cooled. what do i do with water feed pipe coming out of the head? do i just blank it off or do i have to loop it back into the header tank?
  2. yeah thats the one. that might be the go then. i was thinking of running a similar loop system around the front of the intercooler but it got me thinking about stones etc....
  3. Now on my project i am in the process of fitting up a set of gfb underdriven pulleys.... i am also piecing everything else back together and was wondering how much of an effect does the small loop of p/s pipe that used to run between my old radiator and a/c radiator has on cooling the ATF. if i could i would like to run the return hose straight from the steering rack back to the reservior, rather than running it back through the front as the i/c would now be in the way. would having an underdriven p/s pump cause it to run not as hot?, thus not requiring the need for the cooler. If i still need to cool it i will just run a loop of bundy next to my oil cooler which is in the original wrx top mount i/c position.
  4. easy fix to the power assisted brakes problem, fit a vacuum pump to the back of the alternator or find a 12v alternator with a pump on the ars of it that will fit.
  5. Just from a bit of knowledge.. Im running my accusump oil accumulator into the fitting by the crankcase breather, Its the best place to run the accusump into so i presume its the best place to run the guage into, and the thread is M18x1.5. Oh and earls do a good adapter for that...
  6. I have a 97 STi RA and it only has single pots on the rear......
  7. where exactly is the relay for the fuel pump? im running a fuel cell in the boot with a bosch 044 pump, and hoping to run the wires off the original relay.
  8. IMO, this is going by what ive seen/done. unless the sump was extremely starved from oil there is no way the pickup would ever come uncoverd unless you had +800hp and were able to do -56sec around pukekohe. i have just forked out over 17g on my engine and i mentioned the whole baffled sump idea to my engine builder and he had the basic principal that with the standard flow of oil going back into the sump, all the baffles would be doing is slowing the speed at which the oil can get back to the pickup. another form of protection (which i have just fitted to the car) is an accusump.
