  1. I know this is an old post but I am bored. Anyonethought of installing a ground anchor and chaining a wheel to the anchor. That way they cannot pinch wheels (cause what use is 3 of them) or car. Would cost about $100 all up. Mind you would be a pain if you are in and out a lot. Maybe a ratty car cover is the way to go? Make it look like your parents are protecting their sons corolla while he is away studying in Europe.
  2. Starter motor is only there to crank the engine, it shouldn't make any difference to its running unless subaru starters are always engaged with the engine?
  3. Yea, it is best to tee as close to the manifold as possible, it is not important which line you chose but I would choose the one where accidentally creating a leak would cause the least problems.
  4. Seems no one will answer this one so I will have a crack. I do not know exactly what the Subaru factory alarm is like but most likely all openings are alarmed - doors, boot and bonnet and most likely the immobiliser would cut the starter motor or ignition circuit. For insurance though you really need to be sure so call Winger and check or go with an insurer that is not so picky.
  5. I have found Magwarehouse on Barry's Point rd good for Toyo and Dunlop in the 17-19 inch size, not sure about 15 inch but you could give them a call.
  6. How hard is it to properly install an alarm in a 2001 Legacy? I have done some car audio installs in mercs and rovers in the past but the last car I had was a '79 Escort so wiring was not really a challenge.
  7. Or just vent the crankcase line to the ground. Not as environmentally friendly but not illegal in NZ, in most cars pre 1975 they came from the factory like this.
