  1. Yeah, but it's not the legit chinese maufacturing plants you need to worry about... It's not like the dodgy ones advertise the fact by selling something way, way under a legit copies retail price...oh, no, wait a sec....
  2. So, as i say, it's not their fault the price is hiked out of all proportion...
  3. And i think your giving car salesmen too much credit. They buy the cheapest secondhand vehicles, do nothing to them but put some glossy sh1t on the tyres (which are normally only a few km's off being replaced, or kingstars...), spray silicon over the entire engine bay and give them a quick sqirt of liquid wax... They then do, or say anything to get it moving off the lot... ALWAYS assume the salesman is talking sh1t, cause he will be... ...and remeber, the sticker price IS negotiable.
  4. Fuel prices are a joke! And, don't think the government cares... every time the fuel price goes up, that's more revenue in the coffers for overseas trips with the mistress...or rent for a larger mansion. And, don't be too hard on the service stations either, a lot are privately owned and they make the smallest margin (maybe 2-5c per litre) of everyone who has their noses in the trough (one of the largest being our government)... To compare, most small shops buy soft drink in bulk (when it's on special from supermarkets), or at a low trade price from wholesalers and then bang on $1-$1.5 profit for a 1.5L... By those standards, service station owners are practically giving fuel away...
  5. 1st one, sounds dodgy to replace half the drivetrain at such low km's...i'd avoid this one. 2nd one, shame about the black, looks to be very low km's. 3rd one, typical dealer, selling it at 95,000km (one would guess they wanna get rid of it BEFORE they do the 100,000km service); however, at least you can do it and know it was done right, not cheap arse like most dealers would do...
  6. No, in China, it's pretty much luck of the draw... Your part MAY be maufactured in a proper factory, with qualified machinists and by a company who wishes to make money and gain further orders ...or... it may be bashed together in someones back shed sweatshop, from inferior materials by a fly by night cowboy who'll skip out once the check clears, leaving his workers out of pocket and the customer holding so much junk!
  7. Mine did this, same symptoms...was the AFM...
  8. Anyone else seen plates on non-Subaru's that have a Subaru reference or theme? Saw one this morning on a large 4x4 (obviously a tradesman)... Obviously, he had a company called Trade works...but it does suggest something else... Like the old Toyota TRD branded altessa [TRDCAR] (or, Turd Car)...

    RWD my GTB

Only the top one... Was a bit of a hunt to find these even, god knows where the drift shots are...i have way too many picture cd's...

    RWD my GTB

Those drift shots were a bit shit... And these were edited with basic photoshop, years ago...but at least there is some detail.
  11. At least they worked WITH the original design, not like that Porschubaru abortion... ;D
  12. By that, you mean the little carbon grill piece? You don't think the factory may have had something to do with it by designing it to look like an Audi in the first place?
  13. Yep, only ever seen grey, yellow and pink injectors...
  14. It's not his abundance of money that's the problem, it's the lack of any discernable taste... ;D
  15. Mine had greys and i think the AFM was purple? bin a while...
  16. Red's gotta be better than generic grey...
  17. Hardley, more like a Honda Prelude...
  18. Obviously, however, i think it's a very nice take on a moded legacy. Also, for $18,000 it ain't expensive either...

  20. The Safari STI... RA seating... Handy V7 cup holders... Better than factory speakers...
  21. What's the matter with it? I't only a couple of shades off of WRC Blue... I'd prefer the purple myself, although i think its more a Mauve but hey....
  22. Nice car, not too sure on the backdrop though. Most photographers try to avoid any backdrop that looks like something growing out of the vehicle... If you could position the car about 6-10 car lengths in front of it though, and use a wide aperture to blur the background, that'd look pretty good.
  23. I love the engine description and mods... Engine: - 2.0 built by STI subaru technica JAPAN - JDM Version 7 race motor - 8500 rev limit - Forged pistons & crank - Special block - AVCS advancing cams - STI stronger valvetrain - IHI VF30 ported turbo - High boost clamps - 800cc STi ported injectors - Ported headers And, the most important part: - Blitz oil cap So, it's a V7 STI with every major component ported, and some electronic crap fitted, zorst and THE most hideous body kit known to man. Wonder if the rims are ported too? I bet Subaru AND Porsche owners cringe when this drives by... :-[
