  1. I hope the mods didn't cost more than $200 all up, cos...that's what it LOOKS like they spent. ;D What a frigin UGLY pig! Good example of what NOT to do to your car...
  2. Go 215/45R17 on a 17x7 rim, 40 series is just too low a profile...and there should be plenty to choose from, factory size for thousands of cars...
  3. Here's one for ya, with a bit of tweaking... Here's the original...
  4. TBH, i agree, it is a fat pig, but then, SUBARU seam to be making nothing but fat pigs nowadays... Big fat ugly Impreza,,, Big fat ugly Forester...and now this. I 'shopped' the front guard bulge as they looked too much like stick on flares... let's face it, much like all the current fare, it's a bit of a joke...
  5. What you mean, people are afraid of change? I'd love to see a change from Subaru...a change from all this generic sh1t they keep designing! This looks like it's been designed by a 10y/o...
  6. According to MY count, thats 4 negative and one positive response from people who actually have had them... Hmmmm, kind backs up what i was saying huh...
  7. So, again, don't want to buy a SUBARU then...
  8. They would; with those ones, you are getting a reflected HID light off the entire headlight, instead of just a small projector...
  9. Yeah, right, cause none of us have ever heard of chinese parts ****ting themselves... : Don't know where the $2000 turbo came from, i never mentioned one... I am just pointing out that there are a lot of products coming from china that are total sh1t. They don't care about quality, proper materials or anything, just getting the money in their hand. They are ruthless bastards, i know, i've worked with them, screw thier own sister if theres a profit in it... I know it, you know it, everyone knows it, so, do some research before buying a chinese product
  10. Wouldn't be looking at a SUBARU then...
  11. The ones i had were very similar to the original bulbs... Hardly had anyone flash me, and wof guys didn't notice anything.
  12. Not hard to adjust the EBC tho to get that much any time Yeah, but if you wanna keep those $8000 pistons, i'd leave it where it is...
  13. You could point out that this is not natural attrition, it's a fault with the seal...but good luck with that.
  14. Ooh, that's a bit 80's Very, very ugly, looks like a VW vert, without the good looks...
  15. Yeah. As to the tyres and turbo having anything to do with each other; it's a case of attitude. Triangle tyres are Sh1t; don't bother telling me they are good to drift on, or your sisters husband's friend had some and they were good, it's crap, they are sh1t, end of story. Still, people will go out and buy them because they can't afford a proper tyre., instead of waiting and saving until they can. It's the 'I WANT IT NOW' attitude, which also applies to cheap turbos, guages, exhausts, suspension and anything else you can think of. Yes, some cheap stuff is fine, it's non critical and works, but there are some things you should not skimp on. Forget the price side of it for a moment, as price isn't always a good indication. You can buy a part that is from a manufacturer (say subaru) and it'll cost x amount of $$, or you can buy a generic part which is produced in a factory controlled by a corperation who still have quality control, and test their products but use cheaper labor and sell it for a reduced price; or, you can buy a cheap chinese copy. It may have been made from proper material, or maybe not; who would know as there is no quality control. If it does fail, don't even think about having any support, the importer has long ago dumped his stock and moved into cellphones or something and will not be returning your calls cause he dont care. Don't confuse a product made in china, under licence, for a reputable brand with some cheap pig iron copy made in a factory god knows where, that shut down once they made enough to make a profit.
  16. If you have a mechanical waranty, then go make a claim now! Get them to fit a pair of brand new sti rear shocks from subaru. That way, when you find a set of coilovers new for around 1500-2500 depending on brand, you can sell your nearly new shocks for about a grand to offset the cost... (Subaru charge around $1400 a pair).
  17. FIRST thing you do when checking out a car is take a good long look at the owner! If the cap is on an angle, walk away... If he/she uses the words Boost, or Boosting as an adjective, walk away... Next, look at the car: If it has any of the plates on an angle, you guessed it, walk away... If it has more than 3 parts/brands stickers on it, then walk away... ...and, most importantly, if it is described as a special edition coming from Singapore, laugh in his/her face, and then walk away... ;D
  18. It's a good upgrade, but, unfortunately illegal (although i got plenty of wof's at Onroad with no one questioning them). Only reason they are illegal, is that the headlight lenses, and reflectors are not designed for HID bulbs. Personally, if the light source is in the same position as with a normal bulb, i cant see what the problem is...
  19. Ha, ha. Love this attitude. If i can't have a 500kW moster with big name parts, i'll do it on the cheap with chinese crap parts... If you can't afford to buy the right gear, you can't afford to do it, period! And, yes, i'm aware many big name brands have their products made in China. They do it because in China, you can hire someone who'll work their ass off for peanuts, so you can make a disgustingly large profit. There are also many, many Chinese companies, ripping off the design of 'genuine products' and making very, very dodgy quality copies which they then sell to muppets who wanna build a high HP/kW modded car, but can't actually afford to. Once you've got your cheap Chinese mosta turbo on and making 500kW, you gonna run high performance TRIANGLE tyres too? Your money, your choice...
  20. Wouldn't touch a chinese manufactured part that had any moving parts...
  21. Forget the WT headlight replacements, just use factory and fit some (totally illegal) HID upgrades. Way better light. NB: WT (White Trash).
