  1. Fitted a v7 sti blow off valve, plumbed it back. Car is running mint now, no fumes and a working blow off valve. So far im very happy with the vf30 as well, cant wait to get a little bit more boost out of it so I can get past 9psi.
  2. Its like an evil lear with a crazed looney running round with a camera. Bet you cant get the grin off your chin.

  4. Might pay to go to a mechanic first, you dont want to do o many kms and not get it checked or they wont pay out if the diesel has naffed the engine.
  5. Drove it four times and smiled every time, more new parts ordered. Makes a huge difference having your catch can lines in the right way.
  6. Done. Went for a drive and ive only got 8-10pounds of boost, stll pretty quick even with that. Where would I find the boost pill? Dont think ive got one. Still no working blow off valve as well.
  7. New turbo in. Lines correct on my catch can (i think). Banjo bolts are a prick. Just checking but theres nothing special in setting them up eh?

  9. Just took another couple of pics.... Front and rear breather, both going to the catch can. All lines to catch can..
  10. Im pretty sure I have the issue Koom has described. TMIC has been repaired and flushed. Ohh the excitement of getting this thing going properly ;D Even though ive had a few issues with the car, its been good fun sorting them out

  12. Still using the AFM. Neither pipes are blocked off, all going to the catch can.

  14. Ive got v5 sti tye r heads and v7 sti block. So there is no reason it has to go back to the intake? I think a switch around and ill be oil less.
  15. Yes to oil in the tmic. Yes intake is pre compressor. Ill draw it up, ive got a v7 sti block as well not a v5 one.
  16. Whats the blowby? Its a brand new block and was inspected when I had new heads put on about 500kms ago. Ive had this issue just after it went back together. The issue only happens on startup after giving it some boost in the last run, and its not continual. Can anyone confim the way the hoses should be located on the can?
  17. I agree, but I only have excess oil when the turbo boosts, basically I think its sucking it out of the engine through the catch can. In the pic below you can see how its set up. The line on the far left at the bottom of the can is going to to the intake. The line on the top on the elbow is coming from the right head breather, basically it would act like a vacume pump under any sort of boost. I think. Im of the opinion the lines need to be swapped around and the problem will be solved.
  18. Removed my vf23 to replace with a vf30. The thing is I dont think its knackered now. I think the lines in the catch can have been put back together wrong and that where the oil is coming from. Instead of the top line going to the intake a bottom line on the catch can is. Any oil in it would be being sucked straight into the intake. I think my turbo has been "sucking" the oil out of the catch can from the engine when it is on boost. This would explain a couple of things but someone may be able to correct me?
  19. Vf23 will boost earlier but run out of puff sooner. Depends how you drive and what you like your car to go like.
  20. jUst put $50 in and it was 209.9 Isnt it strange how they harge a bit cnt rather than just rounding it up? That will last me a good two weeks so I the price doesnt hit me too hard.

  23. Im not defending them but have had it where the numbers are enterd incorrectly, so dont just rely on the carjam results. Simple trip to the wof station puts it right.
