can rule out imobiliser if using blank key
reckon its the starter motor ay : brushes wear out, about $80 for new parts or recon / second hand starter
you can get another month or two out of it by tapping it vigoursly with something long & solid
socket extension handle etc (as the starter is obscured by the TT equipment & also makes it harder to replace / service the starter too

I would have a chat to @mlracing.co.nz
either as a supplier or someone who brings containers in of parts maybe?

I'm WELL out of the area but Thurs nights "used" to be a meet @ the Esplande in Petone
just a suggestion could re-invent that (we're talking @Davebro days back in the early 2000's
could mix it up & do a Kapiti spot for Wedges & a beer once in a while too
(just a suggestion & I'm poking my nose in)
gets some locals out & usually an excuse for a 'drive' or tiki tour "there" or back
also no reason you ant just say Central Welly or your usual Cafe out Miramar for a Burger (also fun trip around the bays etc :P)

what does your boost gauge say?

Baby

215/45/17"s
you can get away with 205 - 245's but would not go under 45 % profile (for comfort) or you'll also bust beads fairly easy too
could go hungus 50% Balloons

could be anything but as above Ratio's are King
doubt it will be anything tricky like different wiring or fitment (all EJ's share bolt pattern)

-
& PS : there is a NA > Turbo build going here

"could" take them to the same place & ask them to ship too? & share some beersies for the experience? (just an idea)
though I dont think they will appreciate being 'used' as a shipping depot, depends how you work it (word it)

also well done @AVS Car Security for responding & keeping up the customer relations!

Get the seller to package them up
hah I'm sure that was the first thing he asked
most sellers are useless OR have no clue or access to the gear to pack & wrap & couldnt wrap a Xmas gifty
-
worth asking the question though!
one thing you could do is a catch can (or oil air seperator)
though in a Subaru you need a 4 port catch can (not something off the shelf) that I have seen

assuming AKL? Location might help

yeah reasoably 'normal' it appears

pops in plate 1.8 FWD
see's EJ20 Turbo & AWD
/meh Subaru do weird s***
you're also expected to install Driveshaft Hoops as well, entire driveline, wiring (wanna pull dash out at same time?
yeah everything will bolt in, the % increase rule applies
have a read of the VIRM or car hobby Manual maybe (addressed to everyone here not just OP)

Substitution of engines
-
when compared with the OE engine, the replacement engine:
- is of the same or less cubic capacity, and
- has equal or less weight, and
- uses the same fuel (petrol, diesel, LPG, CNG), and
- uses the same unmodified attachment points and system (i.e. bolts-in), and
- uses the same family of block and cylinder head from the same vehicle manufacturer, and
- the block has the same number of cylinders arranged in the same configuration, and
- the head has the same number of valves and camshafts, and
- meets the requirements of minor modifications detailed below, and
- when the minor modifications have been taken into consideration the total power or torque increase is no more than 20% over the OE engine specification.
even if it is already AWD
QuoteGearbox substitution
- the OE gearbox cross-member has not been heated, cut or welded,
- the OE gearbox cross-member mounting to the OE body or chassis members is unchanged,
- no replacement gearbox cross-member is used,
- the OE driveshaft(s) is unmodified,
- no substantial modifications have occurred to the floor or gearbox tunnel area, other than provision for gear-shift mechanism,
- the braking system is not modified or changed, including the brake pedal.
OE means Original Equipment (regardless of if its from another subaru substituting Turbo parts for Non Turbo is not factory replacement)
Hello @BLAZD (aka R's Garage 10 years later 100k deep with 1jZ swap & the Rota Ferrari destroys it with 15k still only worth $500
shorter story would also be talk to your Local cert guy before you start wrecking you car eh
and yes even a Manual conversion USING factory parts technically requires a cert as soon as you MOD or SWAP the Brake Pedal, everything else is fine
that one pedal is a rather crucial part of your safety & there are numbtys that cant not cross thread things aye

yeah soz : we're not here to be the fun police but major headaches no matter how much you love your car
also welcome to ClubSUB

nice & chur!
thanks for posting (not sure why everyone thinks it's "not ok" to post sweet deals or finds like that
and even if it was the seller directly posting I'm sure it relevant enough to allow? though 'we' wouldn't want a huge spam of products aye...
