You cant use one of the tie down points in the wagon boot unless you mount one of the metal tags you get from a baby store. Has to be a metal bolt to bolt it down too. There are no bars under the seats in the older version i dont think (the BH5 doesnt anyway) i think these were only introduced after 2001 and only in some models (not just subaru) You can use the seatbelts as the legacys have some of the longest which is what we use. We use it with the locking tab which comes with the seat, on our sons seat. On our daughters we just use it as a booster as shes tall enough so the seat belt is used as normal but looped around the seat as per manufact instruc.
