  3. ECU came up with error code for air flow meter. I cleaned it but no luck. Hes just brought another one so see if that works
  4. Hey guys, got a call from a mate today after he pulled out in traffic and gave his v5 sti a wee thrash. When he put it in 2nd the car shat itself. Idles fine but any throttle it sounds like its on 3 cylinders or something. So car can't be driven I checked all hoses and vacuums etc. Swapped coil pack and leads but no change. Any thoughts? Will check ecu tomorrow for errors and clean afm... Cheers for any help and suggestions

  8. pics bro i want to see this flip. Yup pics either this or next weekend. Still gotta sort split fuel setup, install new radiator and figure out if I can ditch the water header as new turbo only oil cooled
  9. Dam, cheers. Only ask because last time I took a rex to get tuned it had some real simple stuff wrong and they charged me 250$ extra in labour to fix while on dyno
  10. Will do cheers. Just curious new setup just about finished. Flipped manifold too and wanted to know if I can start the car with factory ecu to see if everything is ok? Not drive just to make sure I haven't missed anything before I tow it to get link and tune... Mods done, t3t4 turbo, 800cc injectors, split fuel, tuned headers, exhaust, fuel pump

From your guys experience am i better to buy a short block and fit that or to rebuild my current engine with new pistons, rods and headgasket and whatever else that may let it down? money wise whats the better option? When i brought this car i was told its rebuilt but... how do you know really. Was planning on taking it to nzefi in two weeks for tune but still slightly worried its gonna go bang
  12. Cheers mate think I'm sorted now. Brought them but the guy I got them off accidently sent the collars to the guy that brought his rails. So I just got the injectors and the clip. Which confussed the shit outta me. But he managed to track them down and getting them couried to me so with a bit of luck ill be sussed
  13. Hey guys. Just brought high flow rails off trademe (v5) and 800cc side feed injectors. The sard ones seem to be slightly different to the standard 440s and don't really fit my high flow rails. Do you need spacers or anything? Has anyone else had this problem? Never played with injectors so I dont know anything about them and hoping I'm just doing something simple wrong...

  17. Can you use a two port catch can with breather ontop and use both ports on can with no return port? Or if I put all 3 into one port on can what can I do with the return if I don't want it going back on intake?
  18. Yo dudes. Installing oil catch can. Done some google work but now confused as everyone seems to do it different. Should i join the crankcase breather with the two rocket cover breathers and then into catch can? So 3 pipes into one going into catch can? And then where do you vent the catch can? Atmosphere? Tooo much google for one day. Doing my head in Cheers for any help
