    RS grille?

Could be black because i painted it black? Excuse me, who painted it? I'm telling wifey you are stealing her credit!! No more lasagne for you!
  2. So my theory of keeping motor stock coz replacements are cheap as in comparison is faulty?
  3. Ooooh!!! Dunno if it is what you're after, but also check out the HKS Camp2 set up.
  4. Since you will be running a Link, they make a pretty kick ass dash setup. Something to look into?
  5. A similar setup is found on Toyota forklifts. A possible source of cheap theft ... I mean acquisition.
  6. ^^ west coast customs strikes again. what a waste.
  7. I thought the new supra project was canned and combined with Lexus LFA. And is that a legit pic of Subaru "FT-86"? I read that Subaru were unveiling their version at the Detroit Motor Show this month but I can't find any details anywhere.
  8. As punishment for being a knob, you should take his engine off him.
  9. I won't even park my car at pak n save hornby!!
  10. So then I wonder if that is classed as entrapment. As in they "tricked", for want of a better word, you into breaking the law in the first place.
  11. White Legnum 2.4 V6 in Aranui, chch area. Have seen car at servo and heard rumours of "the infamous cross-dressing cop" driving it. Does it really matter? Will it affect his ability to do his job? Me thinks not.
  12. Undercover cop infiltrating street racing culture? And are you sure it was bait car? Not just some cock in a S15 racing a skyline and the cop happened to be there?
  13. Ok. So it wasn't this guy driving it?
  14. If it had 5% tints, doesn't that make it illegal and thus any infringement notices issued void?
  15. Be careful. Cobb are US based. Many variables in climate, fuel, blah blah. Not to mention that it's a standardized map which doesn't take any of your mods into consideration.
  16. Eutectic pistons are just a name to state that silicon has been added in the alloy. All standard pistons are such. I believe it refers to a 8-12% silicon content. You can also get hypereutectic pistons which have a higher silicon content enabling better resistance to warping and other such mallardies. Something to do with silicon helping allign molecules better and not as much expansion as found in forged pistons. I myself would definitely be more than satisfied with eutectic pistons as you avoid the rattling sounds found in a forged rebuild when the engine is cold. My2c
  17. Wife's BE light comes on as you hit the E line. 10 litres left. Enough to drive from Heathcote Valley industrial area to Rangiora AND BACK!!! Very conservatively though. Average fuel consumption if you DONT drive like a wanker is 13L/100km around city. Better on open road. Around 10L/100km. So in city, give yourself a 50km travel MAX on fuel light. And while the crap in the bottom of tank maybe bad, fuel filters are cheap and easy to replace. Filling above half for city driving is wasting fuel through added weight of 30-40L of petrol in tank that doesn't need to be there. That's why needle drops faster in top half of gauge.
  18. Try boot struts. If they don't work, fashion into stilts or earthquake shock absorbers for heavy cabinet inside.
  19. BE has a heavy bonnet? How abought some wagon boot struts and make some mounts?
  20. What if one were to modify bracket as such that it would support the base of a flexi joint as well as flange above it?
  21. Matt, if you want visitors, just text and I'll pop round for a cuppa. This a new low to getting friends.
  22. Maybe a tad over the top, but what about a Davies electric water pump? If it can handle 24 hour races, WAIC purposes should be fine. However, I believe they are around a coupla hundy though.
  23. pretty much any cut will do the trick. The problem is having to redo the trick a week later. PITA.
  24. Totally agree with CP93MM's logic. This is why the wife's legacy is put away after the STI, both behind locked gate. Thought about getting a dog, too...... But one b*tch in the house is enough
  25. I didn't have to take the whole light assembly out. Just removed intake and battery. Oh, and stubby screwdriver of course helped. I looked at the cheaper ones on TM but had heard of some very dodgey ones available so went with the Narva. And needed some lube when they told me the price would be keen to find out if yours give you any dramas or are sweet as. Semi off topic: does anyone know how to stop the bloody glass going milky, for want of a better word? Really makes it look untidy.
