v2 is running 17-18 psi.... ??? this seems high I found out with installation of boost gauge today

Firstly is there any difference between a wrx and wrx sti manifold. apart from colour secondly will a v3/4 manifold fit in a v2 sti with having to mod anything? I am planning on buying a cheap v3/4 manifold, painting it and swapping it in, however its from a wrx not an sti and from a v3/4 not a v2. I would hate to fit a wrx manifold on and find its reduces hp due to differences. Cheers

bought a lamco boost gauge, 2nd hand, has only short vacuum line, how do I connect the new vacuum line to the old vacuum line? it seems that I can just open up back of boost gauge and take off old line so I need to connect new line to old some how??!?!?

Hi WTF is going on here? its hard to see but white smoke or something is coming from the turbo area!?!?! why is this happening! oil is dropping neither is water levels. why is my turbo doing this? Cheers

thanks for that So basically from that write up a cheap ebc will not use a solenoid to control boost. Does that mean with a closed boost system u would have to use an external wastegate or is it still fine with a internal? Cheers

Nice write up bro! With the EBC whats the max "safe" boost without upgrading injectors I should aim for small power gains in a v2 sti with a TD05? Cheers

Was my thoughts as well, I went to a wreakers and they wanted $75 so might just silicone

I voted for Version 2 as I have one they are great, feel like a proper car, small, fast, loud. The savagery of the TD05 makes the car feel genuine and like a drivers car not like my old v9 sti which was easier to mod and undoubtedly faster but was overly controlled by the electronics. There wasn\'t a big turbo kick etc. The V2 makes you feel like possum bourne, it has an amazing sound and is a true classic. It doesn\'t drive the best, it isn\'t the fastest around the twisties and not in a straight line but its the best of the early-mid 90s 2.0l turbos! Just a true master of its time.

But it cant be it has red on manifold, the chassis code is for v2 as well as gearbox, strut brace is carbon. maybe they did have an option of bj for v2. I wish I knew what the options all mean!
