  1. Can any one confirm the size of the STi rear swaybar? Don't wanna get the wrong bushings, are they the same size across the board?
  2. 16000 ks and going up in my V5 STi Speedo says 1960xx
  3. It's an engine to replace the one That just did a head gasket damnit! Haha Well got 4 new tyres goodride sv308's for 456 fitted & balanced chuuurr Also, ARB links & bushings and ARB half moon bushings how much $$ am I looking at?
  4. Not my car, but mates: Changed the fecked thermostat out for a working one(tested it) car still gets warm, Thinking blocked heater core or rooted water pump. Anything else cause the car temp to rise when putting foot down: Also, when trying to fill the system(with car on), it just backs out instead of settling, that sound like heater core to anyone?
  5. my legacy bulldozed, My wrx however steps out the rear. Think it's the weight difference with the wagon having more even weight on front and rear axles, whereas the sedan probably has a fair bit less on the back, so it becomes the path of least resistance. then again that's BH vs GC. and his is a GD so may not be a totally fair comparison.
  6. it's likely, a blockage in the in, low pressure, on the out High pressure, it returns to normal under load, right? Probably as you said restricted return line.
  7. Not my car, yesterday changed spark plugs in friends car, then start it up, go to move it, nasty noises coming from power steering pump, so we replaced that, bled that... what a tedious process. old pump was leaking out the back of the O-ring seal it turns out, BP5 with the floating vane type pump. just needs a new seal in the other one and he's got a spare pump/ one to sell
  8. Replaced shifter bush with torque solution nylon type one. Feels waaay crisper
  9. If he doesnt have the rumble. Its twinscroll
  10. The XE has a hirgher res camera, and more FPS for slo-mo and image stabilisation, but either camera is bloody good value for money especially vs a goPro, and they fit gopro mounts anyway, so win-win
  11. you find nuggets in there? ****, all I've found is idiots.
  12. Nah, 1.2 would net lower boost (Those links are all for the earlier boost solenoid where it works backwards) try grab a .8mm restrictor, might find you have a 1mm restrictor pill These boost solenoids work by the less air they get, the more boost. as the way it's fed to the solenoid, The older stuff: it relied on the restrictor to be there to limit boost. so the less restriction = more boost.
  13. yeah, with a cable, the ELM bluetooth shoz is sketchy as with what it will work with and what it wont, had it working in a mates blitzen 6 once, then tried another time in his car(exact same unit) ; didn't work. was a bit of hit and miss tbh
  14. Or get a bov blanking plate, run no bov and blank the recirc hose too, 100% more DOSE. smiles are to be had, I also hear tell that it isn't even bad for turbos
  15. 0.8bar is circa 12psi. wgsp is 7psi which is closer to .5bar
  16. wrong size restrictor pill? i get 16PSi so 1.1bar
  17. i've got one on my GC8, works fine; sounds loud: doesn't leak, rear hangers line up(hefty angle but) the clamp for around the muffler hanger doesn't meet up on the GC8, doesn't really matter- weight reduction, I think most everything else lined up or was close. Bottom line, I've passed a wof with it (Also comes with a bolt in wof passer a.k.a silencer) it looks good enough and comes with an up pipe that someone might wanna buy, but it has a couple of good flanges on it and a wee flexi so could be useful if you have a tig to weld stainless
  18. Exactly! and an Msport badge on the bottom right corner of the boot door.
  19. nah all built in, it saves the information on seperate files to the raw video, but links them, and you can relay the info into the video during the editing, also: it can bluetooth to OBD2 dongles and it will record all the info the engine puts out too If only obd2 worked with my car... It also works with all gopro mounts, is waterproof, shock proof and doesnt need a hard case; costs less than the later goPro's too. i mean you don't have super HD res with my version(virb X) but the virb XE has higher res and some other cool features too. 20. Maybe went for a wee drive. [video=youtube;ZEmNOLby8_w] Maybe tested out my new camera.
  21. movement seems okay; maybe pack it with some more grease. gotta remember if they had zero play at all, the up/down movement that it gets during road use would probably bust **** quick.
  22. yeah, my worries were rings or my mate having bought a dud.
